Mr.Sehwag is dashing player and he should be captain for India not Mr.Dhoni .Dhoni is not dashing player because he has no technique of batting, fielding, and his wicketkeeping very poor .

u gone crazy or what...one has to be insane to say that Sehwag has got no technique.

A dashing player does not necessarily make you worthy of being the captain. It requires a lot leadership skills to become a successfull captain.
Tendulkar, Botham are perfect example of failed captains.

Tendulkar did not fail as captain. He resigned after the board refused to remove the players involved in betting scandals. You cna win a game if your own team members are taking money to lose it. Try to understand the facts before you commnet.

it is nothing new for sehwag. sehwag's batting always depend on luck (drop catches)

Oh, yes, he has scored 2 triple centuries and so many centuries with luck only!

Hey reddy garu, first get some brains before u talk shit. I have sarcastically remarked about guys critising sehwag. I have always criticised badri about his lack of strokes if u flip through my comments. So dumbo learn english first before u talk.

Yes, from now on Sehwag will walk back to pavilion if somebody drops a catch as it will be considered out if he plays in the air and the ball lands within the boundary.
Re: it is not over yet, dropped catch of sehwag and amla....
by S Shrikanth on Feb 15, 2010 08:49 PM
True. How costly were these catches. When Sehwag on 47, India 91/2. If the catch were taken, a 91/3 would had been very pressurizing.
Amla was dropped by Laxman at 74. It proved very costly as Amla and Peterson build a long partnership.
In 1985 a catch of Gooch was dropped at 36, he went on the make 333 not out. This is still cnsidered as one of the costliest dropped catch.

You can imagine, the dropped catch directly costed 53 runs, and indirectly...
sachin tendulkar no he is hundreadulkar but could not retain his concentration for his career best 248 plus knock good luck 2nd innings second innings will be very very very crucial because of african attack now laxman has to sail the indian boat to 500 runs with dhoni as only recognised batsman left unbeaten zaheer, bhajji must also slog and ishant if possible only practice how to play full toss yorkers i am sure ishant also will try to do his career best so dhoni has to take laxman in confidence with amit, zaheer, bhajji & ishant. i must say luck factor will play its role but luck favours brave players like SWAN,PRIOR,ONION so each partnership on day3 will decide the match i wish good luck for captain dhoni to get maximum work done by his very very very special laxman for tail ender partnerships to prevent AVALANCHE that is triggerred by sehwag loose shot after he lost his concentration so also sachin. hats off sehwag, sachin also africa for wicket of badrinath which reminded me wicket by parkistani seamers of new zealander middle order batsman in 3 test series that was real moment of day2 30 runs partnership for last wicket by african will boost for african captain gramie smith and matter of concern for dhoni for india ishant sharma and zaheer khan added 51 runs for 10 wicket against shri lanka tour 2008 the match which india lost due dropped catch of kumar sangakara by rahul dravid so catches win matches is universal truth good luck dhoni&smith?

Re: Sehwag
by gaurav manchanda on Feb 15, 2010 08:50 PM
sehwag is world's best opening batsman in test cricket. but in ODIs and T20s, dilshan, gayle & watson are much better than sehwag. They are very consistent, but on the other hand, sehwag cross 35 runs mark only once in 3 ODIs.
Re: Re: Sehwag

We can say the samething about Ponting, whose hundreds have come mainly in Australia. Also as per ICC, he is considered to be the best batsman in the world! In fact one of the reasons India has won lot of matches in the last few years, is because Shewag get his runs very quickly and demoralises the opposition. So yes, he is as of now the best batsman in the world!

For your info, sehwag has scored in all the test playing nations, including australia, england, south africa, pakistan, west indies, newzealand. His first century was against the siuth africans in their home country. So, check the record books before you write crap.
Re: Re: Re: Sehwag

Only a few scanty ones. Otherwise most of his records have been on Indian (Ind Pak Bangladesh Srilanka) pitches.

You are talking without stats and making big comments.. and you expect others to give stats sure you are someone who will argue on a preset line just for the sake of it :)

Debut Hundred in South Africa. 195 in Melbourne 159 match saving innings in Adelaid 2 one day hundreds in New Zealand in 2003 when every other batsman is struggling.

Thanks a ton. I was expecting someone to post this. Any batsman would envy these innings.
And thats why he is known as one of the most fearless batsman. He would take risk to hit a six at 99, while other batsmen crawl in 90s.

Sunny Bhai, I was expecting you to post the stats that Mr Saini has done. Probably you never had these.
You have posted messages only to say that I do not have the stats.
The heading is wrong. SA never strike back! Here is the fall of wickets.
1. Gambhir - Run out due to misundertanding with Sehwag. 2. Vijay - Played an unnecessary outside offstump and gifted away his wicket. 3,4. Tendulkar and Sehwag were tired and they had unforced exits on ordinary balls. 5. Badrinath - Poor guy, sorry for him.
Re: The heading is wrong
by arvin g on Feb 15, 2010 09:52 PM
badrinath does not have what it takes to become test cricketer... he is in the team coz of southie selectors... as for vijay getting out ... well most batsmen get out playing unnecessary shots... thats the different between real players and selector players from their zone..
