Harbhajan, Ohza and Mishra are quite a formidable trio
by Nikhil Shah on Feb 18, 2010 09:57 PM

It think we need to give Ohza and Mishra time to mature. Mishra's leg break is genuine and bowls around 48 mph median pace. He does not depend on dust bowls and so is Ohza. Both of them have excellent loopy arcs and extract quite a bit of turn. They can be better bowlers outside India.

Harbhajan likes to be accurate and push it thru the air quickly which is ideal to Indian conditions. In addition, there is Iqbal Abdulla, Monish Parmar and Piyush Chawla. Chawla was too young but can bat.

I would say After Bedi, Pras and Chandra the best trio should be Mishra, Harbhajan and Oza. We have had Maninder, Kumble, Hirwani and Doshi but this trio is a bit solid.

Aushik Srinivas
by Siva Kumar on Feb 10, 2010 02:03 PM

There is one young lad from Coimbatore, TN. His name is Aushik Srinivas and he is 16 years old, slow left arm spin. I think with his great performance in Ranji trophy this year (Best Bowling 7/71 against Mumbai), he can be selected for the Team India in the future, maybe 1 or 2 years. I would request the selection committee to take a look at his performance in the coming days.

Why can't Indians arrange a selection test all over india , and select good players?

Prabhu:

;-)... typical Indian. When a Ian Chappell or a VVS talks about bowling, it is NOT their cup of tea.

If a Hadlee says Indian bowling is good, it is his cup of tea. :)

If a Hadlee too said India lacks quality bowlers, it will immediately stop being his cup of tea again. :)

No wonder we've been riding up and down on rankings and performance based on what others do or don't do, rather than build a strong solid team.... ultimately this lack of appetite for any constructive criticism would have an impact - somewhere!!
:)

VVS logic
by RAJ sharma on Feb 03, 2010 05:37 AM  | Hide replies

so domestic bowling quality is worrying but batting is our strength, going by that logic one wonders what exactly VVS is saying,if our bowling is weak then how could the batsmen be any better coz they play against each other in domestic cricket.Another thing about our cricket is if they say batting is our strength then be sure in this series batsmen will flop BIG time, sorry blame the satta guys for that.

don't apply too much of logic in every part of life....you will become mad....

His statement is simple...current Spin Bowling is not great...as simple as it is.

Going by your logic India should fail in international arena but we are No.1 side in test....

There is one spin bowler from telengana. His name is KCR.He can spin the ball, rotate the ball and sometimes himself also. He spins using his whole body. May be india can take this guy. If opposition won;t get out, he will go for fasting..
