There is one spin bowler from telengana. His name is KCR.He can spin the ball, rotate the ball and sometimes himself also. He spins using his whole body. May be india can take this guy. If opposition won;t get out, he will go for fasting..
There is real real drought of off spinners in India these days. Harbhajan these days is totally out of color. Ravichandran Ashwin seems to be good only for limited overs. One more future prospect Mohnish Parmar could not play domestic Cricket this year due to chucking allegations but eventually got bailed out of that. Romesh Powar is another option but he could not really do justice with his potential in international arena. I can't recall any other name.

it will hard for any bowler to step into kumbles shoes...the trio of kumble, chavan and raju was the best india ever had...people talk of bedi but he was more like a pizza which had great fanfare and had more junk value than nutritional value...even a tampered ball would not turn for bedi..

You are correct batting trio of Tendulkar, Kambli and Amre and spin bowling trio of Kumble, Chauhan and Raju wrote the golden days of Azhar's captaincy era. Rajesh Chauhan was one very good test off spinner who used to be very consistent and economic and forced batsmen to take their chances on bowlers at other end and concede their wickets.

Chauhan with a bowling average of 40 with not a single 5-ver? Come on. Raju at least was alright with some decent performances at home. But nothing exciting really. But Chauhan was aweful. We were preparing dustbowls then. Chauhan never got a single 5-ver.
Drop this Sardar from the team and give enough chances to Misra and Ojha. He sits on his a.s.s on the team cos of the performance in Eden Gardens years ago. He is not effective anymore... Especially overseas. Misra tool 7 wickets in first test and as soon as this moron is ready to play, Misra is sacked and he entered.... On what basis? Current form or history?
And funny thing is that he acts like the official spokesperson for the Indian team, talking abt everything.... He shld talk abt his performance for a change!

your 100% right .I feel this guy has got overwhelming vasta in the selection team , otherwise it is difficult.useless batting ,mediocre fieldin and number one troublemaker
What about R. Jadeja (21 Y, 28.24 Avg), P.Chawla (21 Y, 27.34 Avg), R.Ashwin (23 Y, 29.43 Avg), Aushik Srinivas (17Y, 27.43 Avg, ), Iqbal Abdulla (20 Y, 30.86 Avg)?????? These are the current young Indian spinners with their age and Average. I believe they are no less than our current spinners.

If you think R.Jadeja, P.Chawla and Ashwin will get you wickets in Tests against quality batsman you are seriously deluded. These guys are only T20 or ODI level where they can stop the runs and get wickets when they play a bad shot. Even Ojha is not international class in my opinion.

On flat Indian tracks whoever having a average of less than 30 in First Class matches is worth. Give them a chance they were very young and don't write off anybody without giving them a chance. Let see how Aswin and Chawla bowls against SA.
How India will get the spinner? Amit Mishra grabbed 7 wickets in 1st Test in Bangladesh & scored 51 being night watchman. Next test he dropped. Harbhajan entered who was unable to show good performance for a long period in all fields- batting, bowling & fielding. Many easy catches dropped by him which would have not been dropped by school level players also.
These r happening due to internal clashes.
Not only in spin, in fast bowling so many boys r waiting in the country since they have no backing power from political field, senior players. Regionalism is also working behind the hindrance in entry of those players. Who Cares!!!

Banggla Desh series was only a preparation for the tougher SA series. Don't take the selection and dropping very seriously.

Not only in selection of players, BCCI dived India in two clear divisions - East & West India in section of venue. Nowadays maximum matches r played in west India mainly Punjab, Delhi, MP, Gujarat, Maharastra, Andhra, Tamilnadu & Karnataka. Other states just watching their TV.

Please read Kabir's massage properly. Not only Tamilnadu and Andhra, Karnataka also not on the west. Kabir divided India into 2 parts longitudinally.

In that case Mr Enzime, Andhra and TN are in the east and Karnataka is in the west..!
So even in the longitudinal division of India Kabir is wrong.. (cos he included Tamil Nadu and Andhra in the west)
And you are wrong Enzime... cos u dint read and understand the message properly.. :-p
why he mention players like rohit sharma ,who has found so many chances and miss it.is sharma has some godfather in bcci? he should not forget players like virat kohali, c. pujara ,m.panday and r.jadeja. i think laxaman him self should retire now , and should not block the path of emerging players.
