"India no longer depends on Sachin" ! what a silly comment?? These guys should look at 1 series alone....When Australia toured India and in that tour when Saurav Ganguly ran away from the match after seeing grass on Nagpur track. Tendulkar didn't played there and Aussies thrashed India 3-1 in that series, the same Rahul Dravid, Laxman looked so ordinary in that series !

Get your stats correct, before commenting on IDNIA. It is not 3-1, it is actually 2-1. Actually if rain might not have saved Australia during the Chennai Test, the score line would have read 2-2

You've used "none" and "can't" in the same sentence which makes a strong positive. "NONE IN THE WORLD CAN'T IGNORE..." means everyone would ignore which correctly is the meaning of your sentence!!!
There was a time when India was totally dependent on Sachin. From sometime during early to middle of 2002 at least one of the four ( sachin, saurav, dravid , laxman or Sehwag ) would score to get India out of troubles.

Cricket is a 11 man game. Not at all one man show.... it is collective effort... stop all these...
The present team is young and fearless unlike the oldies like Tendulkar and Dravid. Out of the oldies only vvs laxman has proved that he is capable of saving the team whenever it was in trouble. So except Laxman other oldies can safely retire. Present team no longer need their services. Tendulkar is a gentleman with good intentions. But as his luck would have it, whenever he makes a good score or record the team looses the matching earning the name that he plays for records.

Gavaskar and Tendulkar are the best run accumulators and top centurions for India but coming to winning matches for India it was Chandrasekhar, Kapil, Vishwanath, Vengsarkar, Dravid, Kumble and Laxman were more instrumental in the last 35 years.

Vengsarkar. Hahahahahaha. Did you ever see him bat? He used to literally crappe in his pants when Malcolm Marshall bowled to him!

U mean Sunny, Srts runs were contribited to opposite teams...?? Or it contributed to Ind's loss..???

So where was Laxman in the first test? What does it say of the Indian team that they cannot pull themselves enough, whenever he makes a good score
but the truth is india never depended on Sachin. We have good team players who are match winners, who think about india's win rather than counting on their personal milestones.

There are plenty of Sachin haters and lovers on this forum and their extreme views makes interesting reading. This article attempts to have an unbiased view. Gavaskar may not have played many match winning innings for India since salvaging draw against teams like West Indies, Australia and England itself used to be a big achievement. This did not make him a lesser batsman while scoring 34 centuries without helmet against the likes of Roberts, Marshal and Holding. Similarly, Tendulkar played first half of his career with match fixers and less talented players who were not mentally strong enough and lost repeatedly against Pakistan. It was only with emergence of likes of Sehwag, Dravid, Kumble, Laxman etc that Tendulkar’s performance got supplemented and India started winning consistently. There is no denying the fact that his second innings average is not upto the mark but the second innings average for Sehwag, Ponting and Lara is also poor. Tendulkar has won many matches for India in ODI but he has definitely cracked under pressure in fourth innings in Test matches. It does not mean that his first innings score should be undermined. Lets respect the great man for what he is rather than what he is not. As a package which includes ODIs also, nobody has been able to match him.

I agree with you.And its a team game. all have to give their best. no player can do it by him self.
