This happened during souravs captaincy, when India one match against Aussies and Laxman made , since the all the big wins comes either by Laxman or by Sehwag or from couple of years by Gambhir. Sachin is a God of Records, due to India seldom wins

Aaplog ram bhorosey raho...before posting comments like this why don't you go and check yourself the records vs results...why you people just keep on commenting on baseless things...find out the reality and then say...
I have been a fan of Sachin Tendulkar until the mid-2000s. From 1989 to about 2003 or so he played exceptionally well, and was the mainstay of the Indian cricket team. However, his game and attitude changed considerably since mid-2000s when he seemed to play more for setting records than bail out the team in difficult situations (like VVS does). Moreover, he has certainly been a beneficiary of BCCI's generosity all along. He had an average of 17 in Tests in 2003 (his worst year yet), but was never dropped from the side, like many of his contemporaries. Even great players like Brian Lara and Steve Waugh have been 'rested' to let them compete in domestic cricket and make a deserving come-back. Had Lara or Waugh played as much cricket as Sachin has, they would have surpassed his current record of 50 tons. In fact, of all his records only his One Day double ton may stay for a long time. Should Kallis and Ponting carry on for couple of more years they will give Sachin a run for his...er runs. Let's wait and watch....

Ponting's Test career is almost over after the Ashes series defeat in Melbourne.
