Dhoni is a very good captain and he has the resources to do the job. That's all there is to it. Otherwise good captains like one Mr. Ricky Ponting also suffer if the resources are failing.
Good to see details of India's vistory in test matches under Dhoni's captaincy (14 in all so far). How many has India lost under his captaincy during the same period?

we played only 5 tests away from sub continent. out of that we won 2 lost only 1. still it is good record to show. he is a shrewd captain & always lead from the front.
to remove my pants down and put my underwear to my right hand 2nd finger and shake my belly at the beach...............if only Indian wins the WC 2011.........I mean it !!!
it is always hard to accept fact. Does any team have the ability to win 3 WC at a stretch ??? Speak up boys..Indians want to be happy in transit....before reaching final destination.

Yes we love wen India defeats Pak every time in Wrld Cup, It feels like winning the cup,
& talkin abt test India has twice stopped Aussies in 2000-01 & 2007-8 wen they has 16 consecutive wins both the times & they were defeated by India

1. No doubt he's a great player for 2 decades. but there is a little bit of difference with other players. Sachin is hungry for runs, but players like VVS, Dhoni, Raina, Sehwag, Zack are hungry for WIN. when sachin gets out on 99, see his face lol....like somebody has taken out his kidney.
See Dhoni's attitude on field...personal score doesn't mean anything at all for him. whether he gets a 100 or 40 odd, doesn't matter, your score should contribute towards team's victory only! Dhoni is a great match finisher for past 4-5 years. In similar situation, Sachin will throw away his wicket.
2. Indian media is sachin baised. only sachin, sachin.... when you will be "TEAM INDIA" baised lol? Shame on you!
3. Why these idiots come up with stats of sachin from 2 decades ago, when some true criticism has been made lol? PAST-RECORDS DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. CRICKET IS A TEAM GAME AND TEAMS ATTITUDE, SPIRIT & COMBINED EFFORT IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN INDIVIDUAL SCORES. We WON 2nd test because of just that : A SUPREME COMBINED TEAM EFFORT!

when india got mini world cup under his captaincy without sachin , saurav, dravid, laxman etc.. it was called pure luck, now it is called due to all above player.He is now 2nd best captain india ever have after saurav, he has a best record as wicket keeper batsman, he is performing as good wicket keeper also. Why anybody is feeling problem in giving credit to him what he desrves

Any sensible captain after the victory doesn’t say that it was his effort that helped to win the match but he affirms that it was the team spirit. If you have played any match for yourself will know, if five best players of your team have not contributed enough to the team what would have happened. Even the best of captain will not be able to redeem the outcome.
