You act as if laxman and sachin belong to different teams. The individual scores get added to the team total. There should be ban on you for inciting such discussions. They were both trying for an Indian win.
The Pitch is considered batting one The opponents are considered below normal and bowlers as ordinary attack and when others play they say you know what

agreed. but wen 10 others fail ( 11 others of rival team) n only 1 batsman perform, then its definitely the bowling is gr8 n pitch is unplayable.
gloating over 50th century of sachin.. and forgetting hiding india got in test. now we won.. and conviniently forgetting to highlight contribution of laxman.

Here in this forum its because of some ignorant readers.. who downplay the importance of match and performances of the players.. and blatantly ctiticising Sachin (irrespective of the result).. as if the match was not between India and SA, but India vs Sachin... Further, these fellows who lack knowledge of game well may say that even SA was trying for Indian victory, but Sachin was preventing it... they are not bothered to celebrate Indian victory.. shameless people..

Cool down dude! Relax.No one is ignoring Laxman. Just watch the channels! India has done the impossible defeating africans in durban. Almost like winning the Test World Cup. By the way, Why are you so jealous of Sachin?

Yeah..Sure VVS had major share ..But Q is wht happened in first test then..?? VVS was there too...?? So in nutshell its Team effort ...Great victory just enjoy it..
About 1st test People say ..sachin's useless 50th century !! stil it contributed to da score right !!?? what were the other doin then !! where was laxman . in both innnings he failed . but nobody blamed him ! why ??? wasnt team india needed laxman,dhoni,sehwag at that time??? then why dint they paly & became match winner. a century from any one of this could have made difference.
Now people will start cursing tendulkar. What kind of indian people u r?? tendulkar is real hero has been surving the nation for almost 20 years. Praise the god.

ganu, looks like you never worked in teams and you dont know team dynamics...when anyone plays selfishly the team loses...it is not a question whether the runs add up or not...this is the problem with blind sachin fans

Jacobbern....this is not the problem of sachins fan this is the problem his critcs they expect hsi should make 100 in every inning when he failed people started critising him .... why didn't any one said the first match we lost b'coz of others who failed to made runs ....because whome they were expected he did well ..;)

First, record books can be scrapped after Sachin retires...second, india will win more matchess...sachin should take up a museum curator job so that he can do record keeping.
Watching Indian Team performance in this match showed that one should never judge a Team's batting performance untill and unless second team bat on the same track. I have seen comments on this forum like "Indian Team is going to be thrashed be SA this time also by a bigger margin" when they were bpowled out on 205 in the first innings. But even then I said just wait for the performance of SA batters on this track and then judge Indian batters. The thing is that we are so used to watching batters score 200 & 250 on a PLACID dead tracks (like MOTERA, Ahmadabad) now a days that we don't know what is a LIVELY track is ALL ABOUT & what kind of exitment this kind of track can bring (Kudos to SA groundsman)?? This track showed that even a good fighting 40 is like a 100 or 125 on dead & Placid track. Indian batters showed that they are more equipped and experienced to cope up with the lethal bounce and lateral movement of the track compared to SA batters. The pitch was like a GRAVEYARD of batters and experiance Indian batters showed that how to make runs on the same track and in the end 205 and 228 was more the good enough for SA batters. Even the likes of Kallis was out on an unplayable delivery today. Thats why I like Test cricket and its beauty coz it TEST YOUR SKILL LEVEL not sixer hitting abilities (Suresh Raina Should read this).
DON'T KILL TEST CRICKET BY BOWLERS GRAVEYARD PITCHES !

Can you think of one person in BCCI who is interested in Cricket .All are there to make money -period. Even these test matches were are arranged by povidance of getting number one Ranking. all are interested on 20-20 because of betting mafia and match fixing is that much easier. Indian Pitches even a grand mother with one hand can score . so enjoy while you have .Frankly the Auis-Eng matches are turning out to be good crowd pullers.
Whatever Ponting does is right.I,though Indian, aleways want Aussies to win even against India.Thats bcos I am an illegal immigrant in Australia working at McDonalds in Flinders Park,Melbourne.I live in a shanty sharing 2 rooms with 9 other illegals.But I live in eternal hope that one day I will get a legal visa and then PR in this amazing country.Maybe if I bad mouth my own country and flatter the whites it may come true.Sachin only plays for himself and his records and never contrinutes to win but Punter always plays for win and doesnt care for records otherwise he would have scored 100 centuries by now.

So in what way Sachin's performance in this match (13 & 6), would have helped his records.. and why all other batsmen in both the teams have failed.. going by ur analysis everybody is looking to set up records.. :)- Wah! cricketing knowledge hi..!
