In test to score a healthy total at least 4 batsman should score big knocks. With 5 batsman you can't expect 4 of them will score in every match. 7-4 is perfect combination.

Durban pitch is changing. Even in the IPL which happened in SA the durban pitch was slow and low. Last test ENG vs SA in durban Swann got 4 wickets and Duminy had 3 wickets. Every IPL played in Durban produced good for spinners. Vettori always do well in durban Trust me Ojha and Bhaji can shake SA.

Every thing went wrong for India. Neither batting nor bowling. We lost twenty wickets and the South Africans just four. We need to take some tough decisions. Harbhajan Singh has lost his bite. Suresh Raina has failed badly. We need to replace Harbhajan with Ashwin ( he is in good form ) and Raina with Pujara. Dhoni should tell Sreesanth to concentrate on bowling than staring and sneering at the batsmen.

not really, pitch was not supported for bowlers, indian spinners never performed well in good pitches, sreeshanth will do better if good condition.raina, gamber, dhoni all are waste in swicng and bouncy track..

I totally agree. Harbhajan and Raina are not performing and they should be taken off. In fact Ojha could have been more dangerous on this centurion wicket. Ashwin is more of a one-day bowler because he bowls tight line.
The No.1 tag is not handed over because of the way a team looks on the field. It is simple arithmetic. You rack up enough points, you are the No.1. There is no such thing as 'deserving' to be the No.1. Every team that has enough points 'deserve' to be there. By the way, India has played Bangladesh and Zimbabwe much lesser than the other teams have. So, they haven't had many free points to boost their total.

yes indeed, indian team is a number one point team, not a number one test team at all, everybody know the reason, in real sporting wickets, indain team is a big zero,we didn't play any real pitches after dhoni's captancy.

not at all, if ball is not bouncing, everybody can play, but after damage on pitch ball will spin like anything, we called spinning track..even indian batsman cannot play that track if inidan spinners bowling.

centurian pitch was not up to the mark, after first day it behaved like Indian flatly track(even dhoni batted well)Durban may have different story, real batting skill we can see their.this is the one of the wekest team visiting in south africa dravid lost his consistency, lakhman never be a good batter in bouncy track, sewag ..we can expect 1 or 2 innings, same from sachin.., I cannot imagin this team facing donald,pollock bowling attack

Why are you imagining Donald & Pollock bowling, when they are retired? I can also say that Kapil Dev & Sunil Gavaskar would have made a huge difference to this side so would have Sourav Ganguly, Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad, G R Vishwanath etc. Does that mean that if we are touring Australia, will you say that our bowlers would not be able to survive against Sir Don Bradman? Talk about the current bowlers & current batsmen. When you do analysis (please learn the spelling also), there is no place for imagination. Remove the imagination & restate your analysis.

When other countries' players make the most of their good day at the wicket and put heavy price tags(KALLIS AMLA DEVILLERS HUSSEY) to their dismissals our heroes are very easy going(SEHWAG DHONI DRAVID GAMBHIR)and are not bothered about that xtra hour that they continue their occupation of the crease could demoralise the opposition adding valuable runs to the team in that process.When 10 and Jack are with you shielding them and scoring quickly is an art our seniors do not take as a challenge.They all without exception are interested only in keeping their not out status intact.

You have an inflated sense of a cricket match capturing world imagination! On the other hand your comment shows a lack of understanding of the game. If Dhoni had won the toos, and we had got to bowl on the 1st day, South Africa would have been defending a hopeless position, and India would have probably won the match.
