most people here crying that sachin not a match winner. remember in a single world cup he had scored 680 runs to reach to WC final.what more can u expect from a single batsman.
Re: sachin mathwinner

SRTingu's "contribution" in previous WC when India OUT from tournament........ WC 1999 16 runs in 22 balls......and India OUT WC 2003 4 runs in 5 balls......and India OUT WC 2007 7 runs in 26 balls......and India OUT
You looks like a SRT's "toi let tissue"....get a life....

I ask to toi let warm what the pther players were doing in those matches..if sachin won all the matches till India out, can't others win one match to keep India alive.

Mahesh ji,
Are you trying to blame Sachin for all those instances that India came out of the WC?
The other players go on tourist visas and just have to appear for the matches is it??? Tey dont hv to contribute??? After so many years .. when the whole world is appreciating him as one of the best ever sportspersons .. it is sad to see our very own countrymen .. finding silly faults and blemishes in his career .. REALLY SAD !!!
Re: Re: sachin mathwinner
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 12:57 PM
so don't you think it shows our dependency on him? You are looking at one match each WC, forgetting that in recent times he is highest scorer in WCs from India!
Re: Re: sachin
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 01:00 PM
If he scores 4-5 centuries and 1000 runs per year from here... I don't mind if he plays till he becomes 100! As it will mean at least someone will be scoring from Indian side for that many years.
Re: Sachin even gave clarification
by chanakya on Dec 20, 2010 12:25 PM
the truth is he is the best batsman in the world & does not required any cirtificate from anybody.he has proved it & entire cricketer of the world knows it.
i am sure, sachin fans said he was god when he completed 39 centuries, but jack kallis, who many times won the team with both bowling and batting skills did not get such coverage.
Re: jack callis- all rounder has 39 centuries to his credit
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 12:34 PM
He is the hero of SA cricket, buddy. They celebrate him there. As you live in India, you can see people celebrating for Indian player. If nobody would have cared about Kallis achievements they would have asked him to retire! Don't you get that?

dhruv jacks never had a weak time....when u have gud team u always tend to get more then ur ability...check out dude
To understand Sachin ( & even Lara's) greatness, you need to look at what has happenned of Ponting.
Ponting was looking invincible until his shield of playing with an excellent set of very consistent match-winners fell off Without that shield he suddenly looks ordinary.
Thats what pressure does to good players. When you know that almost everything depends on you, suddenly, you have to abandon your natural game. (Not everybody is a Sehwag, heh) Tendlya had to abandon his natural game about 12 years ago.

Sachin is a good cricket player but not the best. He surely has records but is not a match winner which matters a lot when someone is playing for a country. I dont understand why we indians and media create so much hipe when he breaks some record. After all itz a 10-15 nations game. Not a big deal. If other countries start playing criket India will surely have a tough time ahead. All these players worry about only money. No use to common people like us. We just waste our money feeding them.

If it is so then why are you wasting your time and energy typing out here against the cricketers? You are here discussing because you are jealous of them getting a handsome amount out there on the fields by working hard, which you couldn't manage to get it in Ur career And to tell you the fact, every sports person plays for money. I dnt think any one will be willing to participate any competitions spending from their own pockets.

well, you know very little about cricket in this case. study a little bit more and that 10-15 countries become a 3 digit number. You don't know about cricket qualifiers doesn't mean that they does not exist! What do you think these USA,Bermuda,Canada,Holland like countries suddenly appear in WC? it's not a chit lottery buddy, they have qualifiers, just like soccer.
We don't go through this because we are consistent top 10 for decades which gave us test nation status and default qualification for ODIs.

He has that much money to buy an IPL team dude, dont worry abt his bank balance. He is the player who relinquished the best offer in Industry .i.e for liquire advt.

he has did best thing to dump that liquir advertisement..as a human he is gr8 person...but sometimes he takes such decisions like playing in IPL and not in odi
Re: Re: Re: Would have skipped IPL if I dont care for money.
by Mr Infinity on Dec 20, 2010 12:10 PM
He is not playing in ODIs because... 1. He wants to be fit for WC11, he wants India to win it. 2. They wanted to test the bench strength and it can be tested if they are in 11 and get a chance to bat as well.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Would have skipped IPL if I dont care for money

so have they found bench strength in opening in vijay and kartik??

I hope there will be a day when we will get appropriate replacements for our legends.
Otherwise, prepare for disaster when these 2-3 guys retire.

so when sachin plays you ediots criticize him and when he skips you criticize him as well ? LOL
In between 1995-2005 he was trying to play for records as he always slow down after making 90's that time but now he doesnt take so much time to complete century
Re: In past he was playing for records but not now
by Sameer on Dec 20, 2010 01:19 PM
Is that your analogy ? wow ? amazing thanks for sharing the IQ level you got.
Also baring Sehwag, mind linking people that continue to score at the same rate.
Oh and by slow tendy scores 10 runs from 90-100 in 10-12 deliveries in ODI. If thats slow, you need some medicine.
If you are talking about Test cricket , you need a brain transplant
Re: Re: He will complete remaining 50 centuries in next 21 yrs

whats wrong if fitness allows him to play more...retirement age is 58 in government jobs
Re: Why celebrate mediocrity?
by naveen kumarbr on Dec 20, 2010 11:46 AM
this is pathetic calculation everyday he has not played ODI or test matches every team in the world hardly plays 8-12 tests and 15-20 OD matches in the same way he has played and he was out of team many occasions due to injury u should consider all those things. People know only criticism and they do not know how to appreciate good work.
Re: Re: Why celebrate mediocrity?
by Suresh Kalmadi on Dec 20, 2010 11:48 AM
Just see the stats of Bradman and Sehwag, they r way way better.
Sachin is good for creating records, but not good for winning matches. Infact he himself was forced to clarify yesterday that he does not play for records - ch0r ki dadhii mein tinka
Re: Re: Re: Re: Why celebrate mediocrity?
by Suresh Kalmadi on Dec 20, 2010 11:47 AM
If you play for records - thats exactly what you would do, create a record for 21 years play.
Re: Re: Re: Why celebrate mediocrity?
by prashant on Dec 20, 2010 12:05 PM
what freaking stats u r talking abt...he has not won matches for india...u think with ur balls i guess...dont u remember the sharjah innings...the innings in the wc2003 against pak...the chase of nearly 400 against eng in a test...the numerous match saving innings overseas when the entire batting crubled...get ur facts before insulting a great great personality...u have no bloody right to do that

He is totally after records and money . he has not success to indian cricket team as some of the other player like laxman, sehwag, dhoni, ganguly.
