only 1% indians who are jealous of sachin achievements write nonsence on the board probably they have a little knowledge about cricket.
Sachin always humble, dedicated team man, not bothered about the 1% barking dogs, he carry on doing his duty. PEOPLE TALK ABOUT BRODMAN, whom young generation not even witnessed his bating. FACT IS A FACT; ALL CRICKET LEGENDS AND FANS AROUND THE WORLD HAIL SACHIN ' GREAT AMBASSODOR OF THE GAME'. NO ONE MATCH HIM, BECAUSE HE IS THE GOD OF CRICKET. HE IS A TRUE INSPIRATION FOR ALL INDIANS.

Excellent, Ind's work is done, like SRT.

The little business of losing by a mile, in the midst of the hoohaa over SRT's record.

Imbeciles. take a moment from your blind drooling celebrations to reflect on the fact that Ind got a sound thrashing yet again, when this 'god of cricket' was around.

I think we must stop being cynical and blame sachin even he scores hundred or double if india loses .At least he has shown the way to other batters that this SA attack is not lethal as it made out to be.India would have lost by innings and 200 runs but for the effort of sachin and dhoni. We should hope other teammates emulate sachin and India thrash SA in nest matchesYou require team effort and support from bowlers to win matches.Heavens sake stop critising sachin who has given glimmer of hope in the gloom.Buck up our boys when they are down.

No one is blaming Sachin. But there is no use Hero worshipping an average sportsman in an average international game. Let us put things to perspective: India has not performed well outside the country in a game played by 9 countries. So please stop treating him like god. He is a nobody compared to Rafa or any Olympic gold medal winner.

by Abhijit on Dec 20, 2010 03:15 PM  | Hide replies

He is beyond comparison.

When people say - He has scored a century but India has lost the match, they are not actually critisizing him.
They are ignoring rest 10 players & expecting that he is the only one playing against other team.

India Lost Again, and Sachine played for record
by Suresh Kalmadi on Dec 20, 2010 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

21 Years for 50 Centuries - That means 2.5 Centuries every Year.

175 Tests for 50 Centuries - That means in every 3.5 Tests he scored 1 century.

This is good, but definitely not great.
Also, stats clearly show, he has played very very few match winning knocks.

Forget Bradman, even Sehwag is way ahead.

9 Years for 22 centuries = 2.44 centuries per year.

84 tests for 22 centuries = 3.81 tests per century.

Longevity? 9 years vs 21 years?

Is this the statistics you used to prove that Sehwag is better than Sachin?

He is good and one of the bests from India... but when you dwarf Sachin in front of him you are just showing your illiteracy about cricket.

All those who comment Sachin even when he performs have either never played the game or brainless. Cricket is a team sport and all have to contribute. If you people think that Laxman & Sehwag have won matches alone without contribution fromn the other end then you all must be insane. What is Kapil's knock of 175 without Kirmani's 24 Not out. Today Sachin is there not out on 111 and runs out of partners and still we are blaming him for India losing. That is why Foreigners say India is the best country in the world and Indians are worst people in the Universe. Because we put selfish motives & favouritism before anything else.

retire gracefully, this is the right time
by Kungfu Panda on Dec 20, 2010 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

There are lot of talented youngsters waiting for an oppurtunity in this highly competitive game. He has played enough and seen glory, money. He should set an example by making way for next generation instead of hanging on to the chair like a politician. He knows he cannot be removed until he retires himself. he should recognize the respect given to him and retire gracefully instead of misusing his privileges. He is a shadow of the player he was a decade back. He has no business playing since he is not at his peak. he is only playing for money, endorsements, centuries and records. Too bad, if people like him do not set an example there is no hope for others.

the only reason why he skipped ODIs is because age is catching up with him. he was afraid of catching injuries and so is slowin down in ODIs. otherwise he wouldn't mind playing till he is 60 because the selectors are too small in profile to axe him unlike the australian selectors who threw out steve & mark waugh as soon as they realised they were becoming old and not performing as well as they should be

He is the best Test batsman of 2010. Why any selector want to remove the best selector. Youngsters have to earn their place.

He is the highest scorer for India in both the innings and in the second he is not out. Still you say he is playing for records. What is your motive man. You are happy that India didnt win or sad that Sachin has scored (because it appears that you hate him from the heart)

Its always a different challenge to be a Captain in Indian Continent. Beign a captain of India,Pakistan is biggest challenges. Becouse captain has to follow a different mindset.Like, In India, If MSD is captain so at the moment there will be millions in opposition becoz he is from North or not from my state. So even if he is playing good or not..there are many who are watching to see the captain as a failure.Team Politics at below the level, different economic condition of the players also matters. Like, Most of the Aussies,NZ and England are from similar good economic background. but the players here, are from very good, bad to worst economic conditions. These things matters which are not with Mr Ponting.

Its not so much that Ponting is in bad form. Its more to do with him being under pressure due to lack of match winning players
