Day one wicket was too fast... SA too would have been in Troubles
by Hemraj Verma on Dec 19, 2010 10:53 AM

Dear all, lets not criticize too much our players.. after all they are the ones who have been consistently performing well not only in India but all over, wherever cricket is being played. I feel its just the day one wicket that caused havoc.. n I feel SA too would have been in trouble, had they opted to bat first. Please do not forget, likes of Dales Styen or Morkel are the same bowlers who are bowling in 2nd innings too but not at all as dangerous as they looked in 2nd innings. So its just the conditions which favoured them to exploit Indian batting. I am sure these so called pace blowers find it extremely hard to bowl India out as the series progresses further.

selfish sehwag...
by arvin g on Dec 19, 2010 08:37 AM  | Hide replies

threw away his wicket again when india needed him most and now people will defend him with same lame excuse that thats the way he plays... he is playing for india and not for his personal enjoyment... for that he can go and play street cricket... sehwag is not dangerous batsman but a lapebaaj... he goes out and hit with no technique... some hits and mostly misses when india needs him to stay at the wicket...

:) And just imagine the strong position India could have been, if only Sehwag hadn't thrown his wicket away.... maybe he too was exposed in his nappies so to speak as you most lucidly explained in your message above... :(

Pseudos. That's the way Sehwag plays. Even his 4s and 6s will look like he is just an inch away from getting out. To play the way he does and still average above 50 and play big innings is a testament to his ability, talent and unsachinlike (selfless) attitude.

PACE BOWLERS ARE THE KEY TO SUCCESS
by tejas lele on Dec 19, 2010 08:16 AM

THE KEY TO SUCCESS R PACE BOWLERS. INDIA PLAYS WITH ONLY 4 REGULAR BOWLERS BE IT ODI/TEST. EVEN AFTER PLAYING WITH 7 BATSMEN STILL WE FALTER.

ALL OUR BOWLERS R NOT UP TO THE STANDARD. FITNESS WISE, HEALTH WISE ETC. NO AGGRESSION, NO KILLER INSTINCT. KAISE MUQABLA KARENGE.

GOT TO PLAY 5 REGULAR BOWLERS SO THAT WE HAVE AN OPTION. NEED TO FIND GENUINE PACERS.

What went wrong?

Why India scored so low in the first innings? cant blame the pitch and toss only for such a disaster in first innings, that itself sealed fate of the match

SA would have been dismissed cheaply had they batted on the first day pitch. After that the pitch has eased. I am not saying this. Pollock has said this.

No way. South Africa would not have got out for 136 had they batted first. They could have struggled a bit, that's all. Indian pacers are not that great at all. India's strength is only in batting.

indian, you dont think SA would have been bundled out cheaply if they had batted first?

do you remember the last time we went to SA we bundled them out for something like 84 in first innings? Sreesanth was our star bowler at that time and he was a newcomer. so you see SA do not even need experienced bowlers like zaheer to get bundled out cheaply on a bowler friendly track (even in their own country).

Sachin The Great Hits Century No. 50

Now one piece of advice to $hit eaters who curse the gr8 man, don't to that coz really no one cares, he is and will be in record books till eternity, and when i say eternity i mean eternity!\

Try achieving 1% of what he has done then dare talk about the gr8 man and gr8 guy.

Laugh at this guy who is living in dreams. He is saying that Tendya would hit a hundred it seems. Very funny. Did Tendya ever hit a big hundred in second innings to save the match and when the situation is pressure based. Dravid/Laxman with tailendrs will save the match if at all they can save.

Meanwhile haillll Sehwag,Kallis as the great batsmen. These guys will break all Tendya records in less number of test matches than Tendya.

You folks are ridiculous. You don't want Sachin to have so many records in his name, and now asking for Sachin name in the partnerships. By the way, Dravid and Laxman are not featuring in this list.

The point is enjoy the cricket and its legend. Sachin in one of them whether he hits 50th century or not.
