The moment Sehwag goes, India will lose the battle in the mind
by Jaya S on Dec 18, 2010 07:03 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin is one useless burden who will cash in on Tsotsobe. He does not have the technique to play on fast pitches against quality bowling.

Sehwag is the last hope. Dravid can hold an end but he cannot score fast enough to put pressure on the S Africans.

Oomshik:

Very true... why else would Sehwag fail to score his favourite triple centuries if he was truly as acclaimed batsman as he is commonly made out to be?

Captaincy
by Viswanathan on Dec 18, 2010 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

It is not understood how Dhoni can allow 225 runs to be scored in one session. I find him not going to his bowlers and tell them not to give easy runs when things were not going the team's way. It is also not understood how he and team management decided to leave out Ojha who would have held one end tight, knowing that Harbajan is not in the best of forms and Zaheer not playing.

as you set the indian pitches to suit indian players, so they have done in SA. Nothing wrong. As you sow, so you reap.

Pitch condition
by Gautam Negi on Dec 18, 2010 05:43 PM

We have potential batsmen and bowlers but still our players are not comfortable in such condition
due to which we under threat of loosing No.1. our players should utilise their time in such pitch condition by giving exposure to youngsters in Home series aginst weak team and due to which the
same time can be utilised by the regular players in practicing in those condition abroad for a sucessful tour which matter most for Indian team.

every movie needs a comedian whether his role is important or not in it. Sreeshant is selected into the team on that ground and not on wicket taking capeabilities

give ball to dravid & gabhir also now to under stand
by pravin sarode on Dec 18, 2010 05:04 PM

dhoni must try dravid & gambhir as stand by bowler to change the ends or confuse the batsmen instead of sachin. we can not take risk by sachin too much tenis elbow world cup is just 100 days count down so relax

by veerapuram dharan on Dec 18, 2010 04:54 PM

we are playing an attacking opposition..there is no room for defensive play..bowlers are inexperienced but batsmen are not..hence, its the batsmen who should play attacking cricket...srikkanth shoulw quit his post so is gary..
