Buddy....SRT can win WC.....but he should have to wear Kapil Dev's old "chaddi" when doing match prectice........Kapil's "chaddi" bring good-luck and Sachin can play batter in comming days and WC2011....He should have to request Kpil Dev as soon as possible......(Sachin need at least 6 pair of old "red coloured" Chaddi)

You are right. Sachin is a bad omen. His fans will tell you that he took India to the finals single handedly but when he chokes in the finals, they will say how can cricket be won single handedly, it is a team sport. LOL :)

I dont know what others say. 359 was never chased till than and that was a final. why always bash a known person. The bowlers were the real culprit that day. Experienced bowlers like Srinath were bowling waist high full tosses to ponting. Bowling lost us that match.

so lets say he chokes , what about the rest 10 ? why are they with thumb up their rear end ?
Classic example was when sachin almost chased down 350 score by himself against AUS.
3 players couldn't even score 19 runs off 18 deliveries
As an Indian, when ever cricket is mentioned, the first image which comes to mind is that of S R Tendulkar. Infact the man is the mascot of the game. The grace and humility with which he carries himself is the closest to perfect in the sport which is (was) also known as 'the Gentlemen's Game. Despite all his great deeds, he is yet to achieve certain things which lesser players have achieved. Sachin is known to have failed in crucial situations which include the World Cup '96 semi-final against Sri Lanka, '99 group match and 2003 final match against Australia and almost all matches in the 2007 world cup. Given that, the batting main stays of rival teams - Aravinda D'Silva, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting have raised their performance according to the ocassion and helped their teams to win the World Cup. I hope India will win the 2011 world cup, Sachin shall contribute heavily to the teams cause, and finish his career on a high.

sachin failed in semi final of wc 96... where were u then on moon... sachin scored 65 and other 10 players could only make 55 runs between them... 99 group matches if it was not for sachin then india wont advance... and as for 2003 final being crunch situation well if it was not for sachin then india wont make it to final... if sachin would have been captian in any of the wc and then failed to win he could have been blamed but all wc's in which he played were lost due to poor performance of the rest of the team and poor captainship or for bookies by dravid in 2007...

Hahahaaaaa...Sachin score 65...what the f#@Ck...!!!! He was the best batsman and the most important player of the team. He couldn't get the team past 260.

Hey, Ponting was backed by bowlers like Mcgrath, warne and legend like Gilchrist and another great middle order batsmen symmonds. Any captain can win cups with these players in the team. You can see the difference how ponting is playing in their absence. Agreed we lose bigger tournaments and the mistake is with us including Sachin but i dont think he alone is responsible for the failure. 2003 wc is bcos of zaheer and hayden mainly, 2007 wc is something i dont want to even think of, yes sachin also deserve critics. Hope we lift it in 2011.

You forgot Steve Waugh's century performance against South Africa in the '99 WC. Sachin can only dream of such an innings, which was made under severe pressure. Tugga was a handicap when compared to Sachin in terms of talent, but yet he played out of his skin to get his team through and took them all the way to WC victory.

You forgot, Herchelle Gibbs dropped a sitter in that innings even before Steve Waugh reached 50. So basically Waugh didn't deserve that innings, and it was only because of Gibbs's fault Waugh has that innings to his name. In other words, it was nothing special, luck favored him.

You are kidding right? How did we reach semi-finals in 96? I thought chasing some 260 he made 60 when Indian score was 100/1. How did we reach finals in 2003? How are gorup stage matches in 2007 world cup important when they are not important in earlier world cups? hahahha..now do u see whey everyones laughing at ur comments?

How much credit will u attribute for a ODI macth against Bangaladesh, where Sachin makes 100 in first innings and India make 250-270 and India win comfortably? I would guess not much credit to it. Flash-back to 2007 world cup match, Ind vs Ban , India lost which resulted in ousting out of the world cup. India made around 190 and Ban chased it in about 49 overs. If Sachin made a century in that match, it would be like the case I mentioned above. Bottomline, every century he made counts irrespective of opponent,ground and first/second innings. You will know the value of the innings only if it never exists. But players,selectors/commentators know that value.Thats why they regard him as the greatest player. Clueless ppl can keep barking that he cant win matches.
Mohammad IQBAL should be included in the Indian team for South Africa tour along with Rajesh Chauhan and Abey Kurvilla.. They have performed exceptionally well in Domestic season. Tendulkar can be excluded from the side to be fit for World Cup.
Smith said very truely nobody is better than ambassdor than Sachin Tendulkar in the World. He is also great person in the world. He can rejects the wine ads above Rs. 20 Cr. We are very proud of that Sachin is our Country's Pride (INDIA)
