Yes, Dedication is great, so Sachine is Great. Sachin always recalls the words 'dedication','hard work' and 'preparation' before every match. Yes, he was out LBW 70 times (?), No He was 'Given'out by Umpires more than 25-30 times during his career, otherwise he would hv achieved this a littlebit earlier. Bcos of Umpires, he played so many years, Thanx to Umpires. For Sachine, everything is Cricket. Hope U all will agree (no compulsion pl). We must Salute 'Dedication' in Sachine.
True ! People who understand the game - will agree, and, those who don't - well, leave them alone. Because he is an Indian and not a 'foreigner' we Indians (well quite a few ) find it difficult to accept the fact. Can't blame them - they are so used to looking 'outside' that they just refuse to appreciate what is 'in' ! Wise up friends, grow up ! India is a name to reackon with - not in in economy, industry, culture but in sports (some atleast)! Learn to live up to the reputation our country commands. Those are 'proud Indians" would agree - and those who aren't - well, no comments !
All bullshit, first ask Sachin to rectify his LBW dismissals(he holds the record for this. 70 LBWS). Too many LBWs is an indication that he is not great. Haiiil Sehwag, Kallis,Sangakkara as the great ambassadors

check your understanding of meaning of ambassador and LBW decision are given by umpires where 3rd umpire cant be referred 90% of those decisions are doubtful Sachin is GOD of cricket, he will remain GREAT because he is simply the GREATEST of ALL

Ok, why don't you play competitive Kabbadi instead? you can win Asiad, Commonwealth gold medals, get a job with PSU's like railways etc., and in general at least take the first step to reach the heights of Sachin. all the best....

When sachin satrted he never tought of money what the talent he had just he went on playing according to the game with the mind and focus, just focus on what ur doing, even you and every body has the ray of hope to reach the goal has sachin had.
Money, after all, is the biggest addiction and it takes more than moral courage to say no to real whopping sums. This is where Sachin Tendulkar stands out. By saying no to a liquor advertisement that promised to pay him 20 crores annually, Sachin has once again made a statement, that he is conscious of his responsibility towards India's youth and wouldn't do anything to send out a wrong signal to the young generation of this country. By not endorsing alcohol or tobacco, Sachin is playing his part in indicating his preferences for his followers. While there will only be a marginal impact of such a statement, one can't expect tobacco or alcohol sales to go down significantly, that he has the ability to make such a statement knowing full well that his brand value will only dwindle in a couple of years makes him profoundly different as an icon.

For someone who has so much money, it is basic decency to reject ads that endorse liquor or tobacco. P Gopichand on the other hand was a real gem. He did not earn much but refused to endorse drinks like Coke. Sachin on the other hand freely endorses Pepsi so children can drink this and spoil their health. No more how hard Sachin tries, we know his real intention.

Sachin refusing liqour ads just for his image. Now that he saved his image he will chase other corporates for more money. I have not seen a greedier sportsperson than him. He brings shame to India.

However with so many strokemakers in the Indian side, I doubt if Sachin will go back to his old Playing ways. I too grew up watching Sachin play in his early days in a team of losers. The moment Sachin's wicket was taken, the match was over. There were some very interesting stats during the 95-99 period when India had only 2-3 victories when Sachin had failed. However also note that everytime Sachin scored well it wasnt a victory. Becos the others wud fail so miserably, that India wud lose. But whatever little victories India had, 95% of them did have Sachin's decent contributions. You shud see the celebrations of the opponents when they got him out. for me the day he pulled Wasim Akram over square leg for a six off his hips was such a breath taking sight. Nobody does that Akram, till then. Sachin of today though highly effective is no where near as breath taking as the sachin of the old. He doesnt leave the bowlers demoralized like he used to do in the past. such was his authority and stamp of class. Sharjah and Chennai Innings were single handed efforts both in losses but only a guy who witnessed it those days wud understand the true class of this man.

Good one. If u have knowledge in cricket, u wont criticise this legend at any point of time. Wins or Loses are not matter with his class.

When we have Viru, Gambhir, Raina and Dhoni to bat like he was in his older days, he needs to consolidate the inning. During the days had we batsmn like Dravid, Laxman, we would have won many matches. Just remember match against Pakis in 1999, wr he got out on 136.
