What if the last Indian batsman purposely got himself runout to prevent Muralitharan from getting his 800th test wicket in the 1st test last month? Srilanka would be up in arms. The BCCI should protest Randiv's actions and a severe penalty should be levied on Randiv and others responsible.
Hey lankans!!!!! sanga and mahela and others?? You are all preaching, chanting and advocating about spirit of the game!!!!!! May be in lankan dictionary this is the spirit of the game by bowling a noball to a well deserved man for century!!!! Where is the sportmanship and your spirit towards has gone???????? Shame and shocking for the cricketing world. ICC must strip the award if sanga had instructed randiv to bowl a no ball if it is found in the stump mic!!!!!!!?????
Latest is here: Sri Lanka Cricket sources told Ada Derana that Lankan spinner Suraj Randiv has personally cleared out the misunderstanding with Indian batsman Virender Sehwag regarding yesterday’s no-ball incident. Meanwhile Sehwag in his official twitter page wrote, “Randiv came to my room and apologised,” The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has responded to the issue with the following press release:
“We are perturbed and disconcerted by the news reports which indicate that Virender Sehwag had been deliberately deprived of a reaching a century by Suraj Randiv bowling a no ball in the last over.
“Sri Lanka Cricket being winners of the ‘ICC Spirit of the game’ award for two consecutive years is extremely proud of its Team and their achievements and conduct both on and off the field, as such it is necessary to clear the good name of Sri Lanka Cricket and Sri Lanka as a sporting nation, on a priority basis.
“In this endeavor, Sri Lanka Cricket officials have requested the Sri Lanka National Team Manager, Mr. Anura Tennekoon, to conduct an immediate internal inquiry and forward a comprehensive report in this regard, where action will be taken accordingly.”
What if he would have got stumed on the no ball ? Would he not be given out ? So how can we say that the match was over the moment Randiv bowled the no ball ? Shewag must be given the credit of the six he hit and his score should read 105.

Yeah, there lies the fallacy. If Viru would have been stumped off that no-ball,India wouldn't have won at that point!Right!

That is not true. If the noball happens to be winning runs, Viru wouldn't be out stumped.

I think the law must be saying that as soon as the winning run 'happens' (in this case the no ball)..hehe.. the batting side wins and the match ends there and there only even if the ball is still alive !! Sounds ediotic isn't it ?!
To nullify such thing in future let ICC award six runs to sehwag because if he would have got run out on no ball then score would have remained same. Let whole word support this. Come and shout for this.

But there was always a possibility of getting stumped out while trying to hit the no ball. I think in that case he might be adjudged out.

since there was only one run to be scored, he would never have run for more Runs after hitting the no ball.

nevertheless to say, Indian players too were involved in denying their colleagues century (Dinesh karthik denied Tendulkar a century). Dhoni went to the extent of denying Saching a double century..

Saurav himself denied Double Century to Sachin Tendulkar against Aus., even after he was not played that game due to injury & Dravid was captain..!! & instead of Dravid; Saurav was Gesturing to Players (Sachin & Dravid was on pitch) to come back in dressing room for declaration...!! i guess sachin was on 194 at the time..!!! So, how come Saurav now talking about Spirit of the Game..!!!????
