Be Fair

It was the last ball of the the match, There were seven runs to be scored. It is great shewag scored the six. But these things cannot be predicted. If Shewag has defended the no ball, still he would have enough runs and balls to make century. Surely Lankans have done in the past. But this I feel is a innnocent one.

Dont scold Randiv
by appa imaging on Aug 17, 2010 05:55 PM

Please anyone dont scold randiv. It was the kind request made to him by Mr.Dhoni who is at the non striker's end. This not first time Dhoni did. He also tried the same tactics against sachin to deny his 200 in Kanpur. Sachin was on 199 from 47th over he did'nt give strike for sachin. The ball sachin gets strike is becoz of some fantastic fielding in the deep by SA else it would also an boundary

Unsporting Sri Lanka
by Tapas Mishra on Aug 17, 2010 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

In the First test of this series Indian batsmen (last pair) could have out by other bowlers and denied Murli his 8ooth wicket. They didn't do so. Sri Lanka should play cricket in gnetlemen's manner.

U have not understood SriLankans at all. If Murali were not to reach that milestone that test, he would have played the next test.

Sangu

Sangakara is the mastermind behind this incident and he didn't responded so far. Poor Randiv knew if he didn't follow his captain's instruction, he will be out from the team.

All other players like Dilshan, JP, Malinga etc are very fair in the field, especially when playing with India.

Sangakara is the most arrogant captain. You can see his appeals for each and every delivery.

You are right, Sangakara is the most arrogant unsporstman like captain around. He never appreciates the opposition, he thinks opposition won due his team's mistakes not because opposition was brilliant. The guy is a bad loser and he has proven it many a times.....

TARUN VERMA
Solution is simple
by TARUN VERMA on Aug 17, 2010 04:36 PM

1. Change the rule - let India win with Sehwag's century & Sehwag's six should get count.

2. Punish Randiv - throw him out for five/six month from International Arena.

This would be good lesson for everyone.

No-ball
by asli mumbaikar on Aug 17, 2010 04:34 PM

If we need 1 run and the batsmen hits a four, then all 4 runs are added to the score(both for the team and batsman). In case of no-ball also the runs scored count. The ball is dead only after it lands beyond the ropes in the case.
The 100 must be credited to Sehwag. The umpires must be empowered to decide on these matters.Remember greg Chappell ordering his brother Trevor to bowl the last ball underarm!!

Well, give the 100 and get on with the game.

Randiv's no ball shall was not intentional....
by vishal doshi on Aug 17, 2010 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

If randiv's intention was to ball a "no ball" he could have done it on the 2nd ball itself... first ball stayed low and went for 4 byes, 2nd and 3rd balls very very much legitimate and sehwag couldn't score...so all the so called ex cricket experts should shut thier mouths and stop the blame game......
