sangaManga: form is temporary , class is permanent
by jaapaal maatre on Aug 09, 2010 01:56 PM

so it means ur srilankan players might be in good form but they dont have the class as the indians have. thats why by the time next series start most of the SL players who performd now would be out of the team bcoz they were just a flash in the pan. but the indians who are out of form have it in them to get back in form.
And what is sangakara talking abt missed opportunities and badluck. the sore looser hasnt understood this simple fact that, in the 1st test indians missed the opportunities and they lost and in the 2nd both of them messedup. and in the 3rd SL messedup like anyother sore looser. so whats he talking abt team superiority and inferiority.
going by that logic SL had superior bowlers but indians had superior batsmen. so the sore looser is babling in his dreams.

Bowlers

Hmm looks like by the time we get decent bowlers we will not have batsmen to score

Sangakkara is a sore loser.
by India on Aug 08, 2010 02:37 PM

What is this Sri Lanka team? They have full time chuckers(Murali), bowlers with abnormal and and doubtful action (Malinga). Sri Lanka play test matches in very few venues (Colombo) at home which are talior made for their batsmen and bowlers. So they keep winning because they are very accustomed to these pitches in front of home crowd and home climate. Has this Sri Lanka team won any test match in Australia, South Africa and England? I can't remember. They are tigers at home and lambs abroad. Sangakkara is not only a sore loser but a very mediocre captian. He is only good as a batsman. That is all.

ONLY BATTING WHICH IS GIVING RESULTS IN OUR FAVOUR
by V on Aug 08, 2010 02:35 PM

Great display of test cricket... through out the series it was seen that Indian batsmen were lacking.. reason being the high chasing total..but in the last test they have shown which batting line up is more composed.. which has got the depth.. which has the class and experience..The only dept where India is lacking is the bowling.. its a fact that we don't have the real class bowler.. i beg pardon if any body think that Zaheer Nehra, sree irfan sharma are the world class.. thay can take wickets as anyone can who bowls regularly but yaar i feel they themselve don't believe that they can take.. Bhajji ,, when was the last time he has taken the good numbers of wickets in any match, he himself cannot say.. GUYS ITS THE ONLY BATTING WHICH IS GIVING RESULTS IN OUR FAVOUR.. but I'm really worried about the WORLD CUP 2011...

Yes you are right, Zaheer was not playing when India lost in 2003 ODI WC final.

I do not mean that Zaheer is a poor bowler. My point is you do not get results on if and buts.

@LG

Zaheer is not a poor bowler, but is an overhyped bolwer in India.

The reason being, we do not have quality fast bolwers and in the land of the blind , the one eyed man is king.

indian pace bowlers would struggle to get into any international club . Its really sad, that we cannot get better bowlers than Zaheer Khan.

I am not degrading Zaheer by the way. I feel its unfortunate and unfair that a decent support bolwer like Zaheer khan is mantling the reponsibility of being the strike bowler

Does India Desrveto be called the best team?
by LG on Aug 08, 2010 02:05 PM

When WI was considered the best team, there was no ranking in those days, and when Ausi were ranked #1 they were also considered by all the best team.

But in our case, people are questioning how India with worst bowling attack can be ranked #1, forget about everybody calling us the best team.

The failed indian players
by Jayant Joshi on Aug 08, 2010 01:54 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni himself to a great extent, Harbhajan and Dravid were failures in this series. Had Dhoni concentrated on his batting the tail enders would not have to apply themselves. Dravid is no more the confident "wall" he is known to be.

any team that has got relatively better bowling attack is the better side. I think SRL were a slightly better side.

Sangakara is an intelligent man and he knows how to speak his mind. I do not see any reason for disagreeing with what he said.

Inida win the 3rd test, that is good news. But, make no mistake, we are not the best team in world. Ranking system is no good.

I would rather have everyone calling India the best team rather than just being ranked #1.

Sangakara is better batsman/wicketkeeper and more knowledgeable than Dhobi the captain Fool, without any doubt.

Statistically And on performance as a captain sanga has left Dhobi far behind in this test series
