Ofcourse Srilanka had an upper hand during the test series. But thatz because, they won the toss in all the 3 matches and batted first. If India had batted first things might have been different. Always the team that bats first in sub continent pitch has an advantage of making more runs. When days progress, the pitch turns making it difficult for the team batting second in scoring runs.
....they took more wickets than Srilanka. First match it was more of india's overconfidence, bad bowling by harbu and some murali magic....otherwise Sri lanka was ordinary.
End result 1-1 with india still retaining No.1 spot in test cricket, pathetic sangakara left whining and F00ling Sri lanka they are better side ! Bah !

Good joke by Sanga, they could not defend 250 runs on 5th day on the pitch helping bowlers.... all the time talking about dropping one catch is ridiculous, there were still 5 batsmen (incl bowlers) to bat.

Correcccttt Nannuu. Sangakara now going to Australia & just win one match Sangu. U are fulling people of lanka.Without Murali your side can not take 20 wickets on even sporting pitch. Pass this message to Sangu
It also depends on local conditions and kind of pitches. In addition, Indian bowling was not up to the mark in the beginning. It takes some time to find your feet in a different location. But Sanga and his men definitely made India toil at times.

its because of ur personal hate view abt dhoni u r praising sangakkara..Australia And West Indies were once number one ranked team in the world, Did that mean that numbers dont speak ? Get a life. Dhoni is the best captain india has got yet.

first of all, there was no ranking in those days. And every cricket playing nations used to considered them the best team.
But here, people are question the ranking because they think India with worst bowling attack is ranked #1. Got it.

LG, west indies and australia were considered the best teams only because of the no. of wins they used to get. similarly india is now no. 1 because it is winning so often now.
you say the indian bowling attack is worst ever. if that is true then isnt dhoni a much better captain than he is already considered to be? because even with such an attack he has got 10 test wins out 16, which previous captains with their even better attacks could not get.
Except for the first Test, India scored more runs than Srilanka. In 3 Test Srilanka made 425 runs and India got 10 runs more in first innings amd in 2 innigs India bowled realy well to get SriLanka Out within 250 runs.
