dravid
by Abhi on Aug 04, 2010 07:02 PM  | Hide replies

for how long will dravid will hang around in the team
he failed miserably in AUS series when ganguly n kumble retired n b4 that in 2007 n 2008 he avged only 20 in 24 tests
still he is the team
n blocking places of youngsters like pujara n rohit sharma
its high time that dravid reties gracefully like his earlier peers

Please ask dravid to retire gracefully rather than being kicked out.

I think Dravid himself knows well that he is nearing retiremen.

Let us give me time to make up his mind; he has served the country well enough to deserve that space.

Myth about Sehwag
by LG on Aug 04, 2010 06:54 PM  | Hide replies

Following are the average of Sehwag in Asia (Flat pitches) and Outside Asia (mostly pace and bouncy pitches)

Sehwag:

ASIA: 61.51
Outside ASIA: 41.42
Difference: 20.09

Now all of you can make out how consistent Sehwag is outside Asia. Sehwag is a flat track bully who thrives on flat pitches.

41.41 is good avg ... there is not much non-subcontinental cricketer who has above 40 avg. in sub-continent.

I will rather say he is good outside but better in sub-continent.

fast bowler is first in the mind
by krishna v on Aug 04, 2010 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

every time india finds a new aggressive fast bowler, instead of encouraging him, the whole of the country just goes after him - critizing comparing, pulling him down for evey mnor mistake whether is the selectors, captain coach, pitches, past players every one trying to take a share out of him.they should be left alone and let them to do their own thing. look at irfan pathan...how every person in country hyped him up..look where he is today..same with sreesanth. that guy has won us test matches..now everyone seems to be against him. almost as if being aggressive is bad. then we keep wondering why india cannot produce fast bowlers..a fast bowler starts with the mind, then the rhythm then comes the pace.unfourtuantely...we just want to curb indian fast bowlers aggression..in sharp contrast..our neighbours encourage aggression hence they keep producing fast bowlers. Encourage aggression.Trying to bowl fast he may not bowl well.but still that is ok..than this lack lustre bolwing.Fast bowlers with aggression is a good thing.

You can not judge batsmen or bowlers on their performances on flat pitches.

You idiots it is clearly shown that he was unlucky to be given out. Everyone is now going against Dravid when Tendulkar is given out wrongly then whole, country cries for the same and stand by him.

Why such partility is there.

Some facts ........
by Ritwik Bhuyan on Aug 04, 2010 06:32 PM  | Hide replies

No. of Test 100's scored by Sehwag = 20

No. of time those 100's have resulted in Indian victories = 6

Therefore, Sehwag's success rate = 30%

I'm a fan of Veeru, but just wanted to clear the myth that most of his 100's results in Indian victories.
