THE NATION WANTS TO KNOW THE TRUTH
by damodaran mohan on Apr 27, 2010 07:05 PM

Is it a ‘run out’ decision for L/Modi after a grand triple century referred ‘up-stairs’ to the 3rd umpire and … awaiting the final verdict ? Was L/Modi’s innings w/o blemish of dropped catches (by the GC) and of couple of poor umpiring(shard pawar) decisions going in his favour? Why can’t the bcci give 5days time to L/Modi ? Not confident to confront him ? Better tackle him in private away from media glare! Whole country is looking forward to L/Modi to come clean. Hope he would not disappoint. After all he did build a Premium ‘Brand’ anybody and everybody would rush to invest now in contrast to the early inception stage days when only his trusted friends and relatives would come forward. Although he could have certainly conducted himself better, it is rubbish that neither the GC nor any of the BCCI members could not be aware of any of the alleged irregularities and that L/Modi alone was responsible. Further, what was the role of the three ex-cricketers & paid members(Rs 10lacs/pm)? The only logical explanations for everybody’s deafening silence is that L/Modi was directly deriving his power from the big BOSS, the Godfather of Indian cricket and it was suiting everybody. Can we ever know the complete truth---benami equity in Fr’ses/broadcaster,alleged kickbacks, role of sr. politicians/cabinet mini

Ajith T
Modi and IPL
by Ajith T on Apr 27, 2010 06:51 AM

The IPL is no doubt a fantastic sport property and Lalit Modi deserves due credit for taking IPL global. But somewhere along the way, he started being too aggressive and dictatorial in his approach. It may be argued that his dictatorial style of functioning made it easier for him to take and implement decisions quickly and thus make this IPL a great event. He started to act as if IPL was his private property while at the same time saying that his is doing this just for charity (see his earlier tweet). Either Modi has to tone down and keep the transactions fair and transparent or he should be asked to leave.

Modi should be out behind 'Bars'
by Count Meout on Apr 27, 2010 06:16 AM

Modi should be put behind 'bars' - no pun!!
He deserves to be locked up for his arrogant ways. He was running IPL as it was his Pop's property. This is the problem with Rich Indian kids - for them success is like opium! Gets to their head and think they can do what they like. He needs to be booted out of 'Cricket World for bringing disrepute to the game of 'Cricket'.
