IPL and BCCI are both corrupt
by Ram V on Apr 27, 2010 03:58 AM

I dont think IPL alone is corrupt, BCCI is more corrupt, why dont we have one sports body and develop all sports instead of people swindling money with BCCI and IPL. Where are the people like Pawar hiding

MODI'S BRAIN CHILD
by pradip biswas on Apr 27, 2010 02:09 AM

IF YOU SAT IPL THEN YES IT IS MODI'S BRAIN CHILD, BUT HE IS NOT PIONEER, PFL, ICL ETC HAPPENED BEFORE IPL BUT IPL BECAME VERY VERY BIG IN SUCH A SHORT SPAN OF TIME THAT IS MODI'S CREDIT. MODI IS NO SAINT BUT TRUELY SPEAKING 'AAM ADMI' NOT AFFECTED BY HIS ACT RATHER BILLION PEOPLE ENJOYED IPL AND OFCOURSE CRICKET HAS NOT BEEN BENIFITED, LOTS OF PEOPLE EARNED THEIR BREAD THROUGH IT & POLITICIANS MADE BLACK MONEY, UNACCOUNTED AMOUNT. MODI WILL BE KICKED AROUND FOR SOME TIME, THOSE PEOPLE WORKED AND EARNED THEY WILL LOSE THEIR CHANCE AND FINALLY WE WILL GET BORED & FORGET ALL AND THE BLACK MONEY MAKING POLITICIANS WILL SHOUT FOR DEMOCRACY AND WHAT NOT IN THE PARLIAMENT. THESE POLITICIANS ARE UNTOUCHABLE TO THE LEGAL SYSTEM OF OUR COUNTRY. THEY NEVER GET PUNISHED WHATEVER CRIME MIGHT THEY DO.

Reality
by Good food on Apr 27, 2010 01:25 AM  | Hide replies

1. BCCI never pays taxes.
2. BCCI blessed Modi and gave him all the rights to govern IPL.
3. Tharoor scam brought undue attention to IPL.
4. Ministers not in it want get in it.
5. Ministers who are in it, don't want to be caught.
6. BCCI and the ministers who are in it want to nail Modi and make him the scape goat.

Modi should be allowed to continue as chairman. No matches were fixed. The only issue is favoritism in terms of who can buy teams. Big deal.

I should agree that No Matches are fixed. Otherwise, Ambani would made MI (one man Army) win the finals.

I am Mr.Modi's partner :-)
by Sehwag Fan on Apr 27, 2010 01:18 AM

Mr.Modi, can we setup a parallel IPL? Let BCCI play the current IPL. If we want to raise the capital, you can please sell your plane and luxury cars, but you should make sure I will have 30% sweat equity in this new board. I will sweat to make my investment :-)

by sambamoorthy jambunathan on Apr 27, 2010 01:17 AM

There is nothing wrong in making money or profit.(As long as no tax/law violations are found)

There are lot of movies made with huge budget and very rarely it is questioned. IPL is a form of entertainment with cricket added to it as a side dish.

Modi's brainchild
by umesh mehra on Apr 27, 2010 01:02 AM  | Hide replies

All said and done...IPL was Modi's brainchild and if IPL is so much talked about and discussed today, then most of the credit goes to him. It's quite natural that where there is so much of money involved there ought to be ups and downs like this. Atleast,he has worked his socks off to take IPL to this level in such a small span of time.People from BCCI who are putting all such charges against him should introspect for a minute to see what has been their contribution to IPL other than slapping charges which takes no effort.

Modi is a theif. Whether he exposes other culprits or not. He should be punished. And moreover, IPL was started just as a chalenge to ICL. Modi had to just copy the methodology of auctions and so on from the English primeir legue.

dont go for outings eat home made food.. only 5k needs for quality food for 6 people in a month..
dont use shower... use buccket.. and dont promote mineral water.. if u go out try to ask aquaguard water as mostly hotels having that... so u will get sufficient water.

Calling IPL Modi's brainchild is not accurate. The ICL was the original concept in India, and it was around for a couple of years before Modi and BBCI strong armed them out.

he is a pure business person and helped others to whiten some black money. and also added advantage of tax exemptions also..what a way to do busines.. Naturally all the biggies will stand behind him. Poor headblocked readers will keep on praising him..If I was a stakeholder, I wil definitly support him.

Have you been in the situation where you do all the hard work and your boss steals the show. He takes all the numbers from you and present it to the management. Modi did all the hardwork, Not only did he gained fame and money, he invited few enemies. And if they are in strong position, they would use it to throw him out.I am not sure how deep Modi is, but this was certainly going to happen. I don't think he is a good politician and hence cannot beat Pawar and group. He is dragging himself in a bigger ditch. And i don't think he is clean - like many others in IPL.
