When International matches get 'fixed', IPL would be no exeception. With cricket players becoming stars and attain iconic stratures, betting and money making will the the norm. Endorsements, field advertiseemnts, TV ratings and advertisements is all big money. IPL will succeed only if the public come ot watch it in the stadium or get glued to TV. and so what you see are 'fixded' WWF kind of matches. And they call it entertainment!!

IPL Mess

Lalit Modi will go down in cricket history as the one person who has singlehandedly destroyed test cricket. Cricket once used to be a game of skill and style and technique that could be developed only through playing test cricket. Now it has become a case of hit-out or get-out, with the players competing to see who can get out fastest. Even untrained schoolboys play better cricket than the current crop of players - and look at the amount of money they are being paid. Constant watching of IPL cricket on tv is getting to be a bore. 7 to 10 days would have been ideal; one-and-a-half months of high voltage IPL cricket is a big Yawn. Now with 2 more teams being added, it may be a 2-month IPL Season 4. God help us.

It is a shame on our part to divulge our internal matter to third party for comments/opinion.IPL matter should be strongly monitored by capable candidates and get the benefit to Government other than to major white
elephants who are here to amass wealth for their own benefits. Let IT should take proper action on these aspects and set the things in the right way.

Let all Indians should have the benefit out of this IPL Play. The centre Govt should take immediate step to remove corruption from IPL
transaction.

Mr.Kak, I agree with your line "Let all Indians should have the benefit out of this IPL Play" but if you see i guess the foriegner are getting more benefit than indians, for example supporting staff of all the team, most of them are foriiegners, commentaters, most of them foriegeners. WHY and our own Kapil is sidelined by this GOON Mr.Modi. is indians are not good enoug than this GORI skins,.

MODI THE GREAT
by Sara on Apr 20, 2010 11:35 AM

Every one is thinking who will be the next Boss of IPL, Pls dont forget lot of indians are fit for this Job, Actually Modi has tried to corner Mr.Throor and i guess in the wieldest imagination he never would have thought that this would turn this much ugly. the way ruling party is behind Modi to take revenge (dont forget Throor became the minister from Gandhi Family quota and if Gandhi Family angry, then no one can save you except God). Now the IT dept is behind the IPL and modi in particular, and for that he himself is to blame, since three years he was enjoying the name-fame-wealth no one was touching him, but in this course of time he became very-very arrogant, see his interview some times he talks like Jeorge Bush.Jo aadmi zarooret se zyada tez daudne ki kosish kerta hai wohi girta hai, Now the whole BCCI is in danger i am sure they are planning to kick him out so that this storm will slow down. Although we all want that this IPL should continue, because i firmly believe that this IPL has given some hope for the new talents, see the case of Murli Vijay how he transform himself the next Sehwagg of indian team , see Uthappa how he is showing that he has now changed and doing hard work in NET, see the Naman Ojha now country can think of repalcement of Dhoni who now looks like assets. there are number of other examples too. in conclusion we should all pray that Modi himself resign and this IPL saga come to end.

SHASHI'S EXIT
by Abhay Saini on Apr 20, 2010 11:28 AM  | Hide replies

1. An unexpected outcome in the muddy water.

2. The ruling party could not use his intellectual sophistication and power of articulation.

3. His immaculate power of speaking could have been a real bane for the congress.

4. A few tongue slips or unintended mistakes could have been pardened.

5. He was in the category of PC rating, which is rarely seen in indian politicians.

6. A little hand holding of him could have used for the benefit of the nation.

7. FM was dead against him since begining where he could have used his potential to raise the performance barometer of his minstry.

8. I thing all these must have been tried but somewhere things could not click as he was not a politician but definitely a potential asset.

9. Nothing is lost; he can be tried in certain other assignments or committees.

10. Once he learns the tricks of the trade, he may show his real worth once the dust settles down.

11. As India has to compete with great nations like USA and China it could have been better to ignore importance to IPL in view of the challenges this nation is facing and many major milestones yet to be achieved are in pipeline.

12. I wish he could be put for some time under a great mentor or poltical risk manger like Pranab Babu or PC or Kamal nath.
