Imagine this was once pushed to be a candidate for the post of UN General secretary .! This says all on our system of checks and balances , public policy . Besides it is clearly understood the flambpoyance he displays can in no way come with what he earneed during his career till now, so he is no doubt clean or honest. In what way can you guide a consortium if you are a minster , everyone knows how such guidance is paid for in India

UN General secretary nimination to showing true colors as a corrupt and shameless politician
Son-in-law of Lalit Modi, Mr. Gaurav Burman is also the brother of Kings XI Punjab Co-owner (Mr. Mohit Burman). He is also Director in Elephant Capital Invests, a company which has put in $10 million in GCV to own its 50% equity of this Mauritius-based company. GCV an online media and broadcast company was set up only last year and within a few months snapped up various cricket related digital rights.
MR LALIT MODI - WHAT IS THIS? You can have dubious double standard. One regarding Rendezvous owners credibility and your own son-in-laws ability (How can a one year company which obiviously does not have a proven track record be awarded digital rights of a Rs. 15000 crore commercial empire.)
MR. LALIT MODI are you the SATYAM RAJU of INDIAN CRICKET
dear friends.......i hate modis face......he looks like a demon and see how he speaks......jitna paisa saale yeh log banate hain galat tareekon se agar marte kissanon ko de dein , gareeb logon mein de dein.., etc to desh ka bhala ho jaye.....
What a mess... , let me start by stating that I am a big fan of Lalith Modi and IPL, the man is a visionary and can think out of the box, I am sure anyone with half a brain will agree. But, the way he went about with this Kochi thing is not very smart because for one Modi has invited focus on some very negative aspects of the IPL (like back door investors, black money, crooked politicians etc) all of which are not at all desirable. The second consequence will be that no one will TRUST Lalith Modi anymore, the guy is a SNITCH.I am sure there are people in BCCI and the congress party who just simply hate Lalith Modi's guts and this will give them a chance to get together and try and topple Modi and even if they don't succeed in replacing Modi they certainly will manage to curb his power. So, all in all I don't know what Lalith Modi was thinking when he put out the Kochi Tweet, but I have a feeling that IPL will never be the same again because of it.

Sats, Very True..Look at the wealth Tharoor has built in just one deal..wooping 70 crores
Modi wants transparency in ownership ofIPL franchise. he is right. we cant allow some dubai based underworld don to own Kochi franchise!! tharoor has shady connections & he should be removed frm ministry
Re: MODI is correct
by Sats S on Apr 15, 2010 01:26 AM
wtf are u talking about transparency in this murky IPL? Has Modi disclosed till date who are all behind IPL franchises Rajasthan Royals, KKR, or KXIP ? Modi was just pissed off that he wasn't able to buy a team for Ahmedabad and scrap Kochi team and offer to the team to Adani group

I agree with you on your point. Modi surely not saint but Tharoor is caught helping his friend in 80 crores ruppee bribed share in this frenchise..
A consortium won the bid for kochi surprisingly, It was totally unexpected for lalit modi because he made his best effort for Adani and Videocon group to win the bid for an Ipl team. Also he have some commercial plan with them. After his lost dreams he is trying to demolish the team from Kochi after practicing some cheap media Dramas. He made himself in trouble as an IPl Commissioner.
