Re: Just Boycott IPL
by cheersindia on Apr 14, 2010 11:29 PM
there is not indication of any team from North East. Is North East not a part of India? or IPL is only for rich why not BCCI gets one IPL, completely supported by BCCI from NE region.
Attitude of Mr. Tharoor is doubtable, true. Tweet ways are not correct too. But, he is not smart enough to be a corrupt politician. From the very fact (which is so far unnoticed!) that Lalit Modi is a favourite of both BJP and D-company, it is very well implied that who is making false propaganda in the IPL franchisee war.

Have a close watch. Why people think those who seem to support Tharoor are congressmen and those who seem to link BJP and D-company are congressmen. I just aired my opinion that deals of Mr. Modi are much more murkier than that of Mr. Tharoor.
Even if, influence favoured Ms. Pushkar to get the IPL share of Kochi team, there in nothing illegal from the part of Mr. Tharoor in the whole issue and those allegations will not stand in any court.
And who are all in good company with D-company is no great secret. But, these are the occassions, when we citizens can identify the partners through the veils.
No party is averse to Business, Cricket & Cinema in India (BCCI). D-company too!!!?
Told to take money and withdraw, the successful but frightened Kochi franchise winners seek Sonia’s protection.
Harassed and bullied, the Kochi franchisees of cricket’s Indian Premier League have sought the protection of Congress president Sonia Gandhi from two Union cabinet ministers, who allegedly wanted them out of IPL.
At least two of the seven investors of Rendezvous Sports World (RSW), that won the franchise for Kochi, were last week summoned to the Mumbai residence of a Union cabinet minister and told to back off from bidding for Kochi or else. “We have many ways to take care of the likes of you,” the two now-scared investors were told at the end of a conversation with the minister that began at 10 pm and went on till 4 am. They were told to go to Delhi to meet another minister from the same party, who apologised for his colleague’s conduct but repeated: “Get out of IPL. Sell the team.”

k i agree.....• 'What's the illegality in promoting Kochi'......if modi's bribr is ryte..den it will bring shame to kochi.....n v all r gtin high tempered.........
Its Modi who brought this Scam into light at his own risk by breaching the code of conduct..
So its Taroor in trap now, still Kochi owners not answering how Sunanda Pushkar came into Kochi owner list..
1) 75Cr free will given to Sunanda Pushkar why? 2) Why Taroor need to call modi to sign the Kochi team documents? 3) Why Sunanda Pushkar lieing that she was approached by KKR, which KKR is denying it 4) what background Sunanda Pushkar has to deal such a huge amount ?

Tharoor is an elected representative from thiruvananthapuram constituensy and he is supposed to work in the best interst of tvm and kerala which he has done. It is a part of his duty. By doing so he was trying to make ipl accessible to the players and people of Kerala. Priyadarshan and Mohan lal tried for the team but they couldnt win because of some vested interests. Sincehe is a powerful person he was able to win the team for his state. thats all .. his role ends there. Because of all these controversies I am afraid we are going to lose an able and professional minister who can bring change to our country. If it happens it will be loss not only to kerala but also to the country. I believe congress is not going to take any foolish decisions

That is pure bull.
First, it is not right to say that the Kochi team was in the interest of Kerala. Not at all. It is just in the interest of the greedy businessmen.
Secondly, assuming that you are right, there is no justification for Tharoor's Girl Friend to be given free stake. It is to be investigated if this free stake is a form of Gratis given to benami.
Lastly, Tharoor has been making a complete fool of himself ever since he became a minister. He is being heard and read about for all reasons other than his ministerial work. Such people are misfit to be in the Govt. If the Congress is indeed serious, Tharoor should be sacked without any further delay.
Modi may not be a saint, but that does not mean that the murky happenings re Kochi Team is just to be ignored.

Is it your money? What concern is it of yours if 75 or 100 crore is paid by Kochi sponsors to Sunanda or whosoever. Does Sunanda Pushkar have to prove her background to you to earn a living?

Boss he is a central minister not state minister to work towards Kerela. More over is an external minister and should not involve in internal matters
And i believe only this time congress will take the right desicion to remove him
Re: Re: Tharoor has done his duty

apart from a minister he is also an MP from thiruvananthapuram !! people had trust in him so they gave him a 100000 votes victory ..

Also the Franchisees are not from Kerela, only one owner is from Kerela. so its not going to help kerela in any ways...

if kochi has a team its matches will be played in kochi/tvm we get access to it lot of economic avtivity will happen. .. there will be a big boost to tourism these are some of the benefits...

Why Since Dubai collapses whole kerela is now depend on Kochi IPL Team to gain benefits?
I am better than you to know about Kerela. Kerela tourism dont requires such thing, even if IPL is not there lots of peoples likes it nature and tourism. So dont thing IPL will boost tourism in Kerela
Re: Re: Re: Re: Tharoor has done his duty

i mean its one of the benefits not that ipl is required to boost tourism..youth in kerala get a chance to play in ipl.. we can watch the maches live in stadiums .. it makes a lot of difference..if we have a team ..

Come on have some sense. If there is a talent then anyone can go and play anywhere... Why only in Kochi ?
It is amazing that hundreds of crores of rupees are being spent on cricket when the common man is reeling under the effect of price rise. It is high time that IPL is completely banned and the money thus saved be utilized for the benefit of the common man.
