One big reason for KKR's defeat is Ishant Sharma. I don't know the exact figures, but he must have conceded more fours and maximum runs per match. Every time Ganguly wins a match, he changes the winning combination and brings in Ishant for the next match, only to lose it. With Ishant on your side, you can't expect to defend a total of even 200, what to say of 160. I still can't fathom why Ishant was preferred instead of the most economical Murli Karthik. If Ganguly needed a third pacer, he could easily have used his own slow medium pace.

Slow Indian wickets have always been the graveyard of bowlers. Right from Kapil Dev's time. The only problem with Ishant is that he is not bowling intelligently, he should mix his deliveries with more variety. Even Shane Bond started bowling slowers and mixing his deliveries well. Ganguly should persist with Bond, Angelo Mathews, Agarkar. Spinners are Kathik and Mendis.

Sameer, talk about cricket only. Anything else that you talk about only shows how big a racist b@@st@@rd you are. So, dont do that.

Hi, I m sorry if u feel i hv passed a racist comment. I only wanted to point out how they blow ganguly out of proposition. Great, Great, Great, when he is not even a great batsmen. 9 of his 21 victories came against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. From 2003 onwards indian cricket performance dipped so badly and yet he was a gr8 captain.
Do great captains run away seeing grass on pitch leaving the team stunned?
And if he was a great captain why hasnt he managed to get KKR in semis or finals, this is his second stint as captain.
Lastly who broke the team last year after he was dropped. Did you read comments of former KKR player Aakash Chopra?
Do great captains cry in front of media or feel bad that he has been told to leave captaincy to improve his batting? and create a scene?

Sameer K what you are saying are all figments of your imagination. There are no official records to prove that Ganguly ran away on seeing green pitch or he caused KKR to be disintegrated. You are just reading media reports and just picking up what you like to believe. What is the proof that what Akash Chopra said is true? Maybe he is just unhappy that he is not in the side and lashing out? How do you know what is true? Were you there? And talking of Ganguly not taking KKR to semis or finals, Sachin has also not taken MI to finals yet or Indian team to World Cup finals, how come you are not making comments about Sachin? And every captain blames some aspect of bowling/fielding/batting after a defeat. Dhoni has done it lots of times. You are just picking up stuff that you like, that is why you are racist. So dont pretend as if you are a great cricket analyst, you are just saying what you like to say.

I cant help if bongs dont know or dont want to accept gangu ran away from nagpur test. Maybe u need to read Gilchrists interview sometime back where he had stated he was as shocked as his indian counterparts in nagpur as ganguly was jogging 10 mins before the start of toss and suddenly it was announced ganguly has got near groin injury. Midday newspaper carried a cartoon of a doctor talking to a patient and patient askin wat is this near groin injury and doctor replying, it is called as USKI PHATI......
