Bowling coach?
by lifewasted on Oct 17, 2009 02:13 AM  | Hide replies

Prasad as a coach was a bad decision...No batsmen feared him....I think Kumble bowls faster than him....

Advise for BCCI to save cricket
by MSL Gowda on Oct 16, 2009 02:45 PM

Dear BCCI, if u can follow my little tips on behalf of all cricket fans of India, cricket will stay as interesting game.

1. Stop arranging too much cricket(almost 350 days cricket in a year nowadays).
2. Stop too much money flow for cricketers.
3. Stop organising too much 20/20 series(IPL,KPL,CL.... its almost 300 days in a year)
4.Give rest to players with limited cricket.
5.Must practise session for all players daily with strict rules.

Strange...
by shi vak on Oct 16, 2009 10:46 AM  | Hide replies

This is pretty strange. May be, there's already someone who's waiting at the doorsteps. A coach an only coach. It's upto the individual to perform. A coach can't go to the middle and do the job. A fielder can only be taught how to dive. It's merely the attitude of the plaers and their greed for money in the leagues. They do not want to dive and risk an injury. Similarly, on seeing a wicket, a coach can tell the bowlers what kind of length and pace to bowl. If the bowler can't hit the spot consistently who is here to blame?

Agreed! But the point is if there is going to be no improvement in performances, then why have a coach in the first place. But yes, i totally agree that players need to be taken to task for not performing up to the mark.

But for your information, He s still ranked no 1 in odi and the best captain if not for his attitude. I dont find any other so called "Cool Customer" now in the team....atleast Dhoni is keeping up the momentum...

Good Job BCCI
by Lotiya Pathan on Oct 16, 2009 03:30 AM

Obvious that our Bowling and Fielding both are suffering over a year now and these two has to go. I had lots of respect for Prasad but none for Robin and his arrogance, however I do feel for both of them. It's just that Fielding and Boling has to improve for sack of our team, and it was actually getting worst.

I hope this is the high time to turn the things around and we will be improve moving forward..

A coach can tell the bowlers how to bowl, if the bowlers don't bowl well then I think its not the fault of the coach, I think the player should be dropped instead of coach.

BCCI

BCCI shows the best are not the richest.
It is the lousiest organization with the most inept heading it but still is one of the richest sport bodies in the world. Cannot expect anything else - I'm not saying VP and RS were great coaches - just the manner in which they have been expelled. Do the honchos in BCCI really like to look stupid in the public eye? - I think so.
