My neighbor's wife was talking about her 2-year-old son and was saying that she wants him to take to cricket. When I agreed with her that being in the Indian cricket team is a big honor, she said, "What Indian team ? I want him to play in the IPL. There is lot of money and glamour. U get to know film stars as well and u get to go along with them. Who wants to get into Indian cricket team ? One failure and ppl will throw shoes at ur house. Like this at least no tension only money and fame."
I agree totally with Ratnakar Shetty. IPL has indeed taken off the sheen of playing for the nation. Gone are the days when a Kapil, Sunny or Sachin struggled to get into the Indian team. Now it is all money.

very true..agrees with you..this IPL will affect severely for team in india, if it goes like this...
Dhoni should have been sacked as the captain or bettter, yet, sack him from the team itself. This time, India will do well and Dhoni's position will be consolidated until next World Cup. He is a cunning guy!!!

Dhoni should be replaced by kartik as a wicketkeeper. Any one can be captain. Captain doesn't play more than 1% role in cricket win. Its only match winning player who wins the matches. In the same dhobi captaincy u win few tournamnets but also lost two major tournamnets as players didn't perform. Captaincy is just a media hype. To be captain , first u need to desrve a place in team based on performance.Just being a cunning guy should not ensure that he should continue as captain for so long.
see guys like virat kohli n ravindra jadeja should get mature in their battings... whenevr they come for batting, its just look like kids in front of lions...not even know how to bat against biggies...let them wait n learn atleast for two years...also ishant sharma.. whenever zaheer s there, he used to get techinques for this guy to implement.. unfortunately ashish nehra is selfish n doing good for keeping his slot stable...whenevr these(20 aged guys r looking under consideration they can also think about manishpandey as such guys too..they r too early to get selected for senior team..

We should thank god only when dhoni is Kicked out- biggest politician of cricket India ever produced.
i would say it...cos, they r terminated, parsad n robinsingh. they were good trainers, what should they do, if the players r not having fitness??? moreover they dropped dravid..inviting threats , nothing more than in it..not even considered aussie specialist laxman..this team will gonna get severe blow from aussies. what the hell they do with out laxman n dravid instead of virat kohli n ravindra jadeja?
guys whatever you comment on this, am really sad of the stated things....

So What made you think they were good trainers? The erformance proved total failure. If all the players come fit and trained we will not need any coach but that's not the case..
Our fielding deteriorated and so did bowling. These was their job to improve, but it went other way. They need to be held accountable..

buddy..did u believ that training is bringing fitness.. trainee should gain it,..not trainers,ok?after 2nd IPL everyone in the team's body language shows all suffers of fatigue factor...all matters for money except sachin. being look like tired, how could they field??? dont close eyes n think its dark for all...

There you go, they looked tired. That really is lamn excuse that they were tired and that affected their fielding or bowling. Most of them are in their mid 20s and not like they're playing cricket 8 hrs a day every day.
Compare our cricket with Australians schedule, not much difference. Robin Singh is particular, failed to improve fiedling atall..
If I close my eye then I will deffinately come up with the thoughts that you are having..
Dhoni's penchant to back favourite players should also be reigned in. Unlike Saurav G who boldly tried new bowlers in less critical matches, Dhoni constantly forces his favourites- RP Singh for example- and despite poor form -Ishant Sharma. Bold captaincy is good but inflexible, being adament has proved to be disastrous.
The whole issue of the firing of both gentlemen was warranted in my opinion, for the past 6 odd months, the bowiling has been putting it mildly pathetic and the fielding has been well below par.
We all know it and seen it, naturally it was something that had to happen. no matter how casual the approach of the new crop of players, if coaches and support team can not deliver then they should resign out of self worth or be fired.
WAHT WAS UTTER CLASSLESS AND LACKED ANY PLITH OF DECORUM AND DIGNITY WAS THE WAY THESE TWO WERE DISMISSED AFTER THIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE. To find you are jobless from the media and not from first hand your employer is a sad and pathetic set of circumstances. Clearly shows that the people at the HELM of the BCCI are a BUNCH OF STANDARDLESS and PROBABLY DOUBT the QUALITY OF OF THE PARENTAGE!! No one saw it FIT to call these two up before hand and say sorry your services are not needed due to the following valid reasons and here is your compensation if you so warrant it.
This has happened before with IMG, but they had to retract their decision, due to IMG's Money Clout and connections. Don't think anyone will do anything for these two gentlemen.

The reason why our administrators dont wish to inform players/coaches that there services are no longer needed is cause they are not able to face such awkard situation. Imagine if the selector was to inform appam sreesnath that he was getting the boot. Sreesanth would have either danced his way out of the meeting or given some verbal lashing to the selectors for ignoring such talent.
