Worldcup venue
by Chitra Kale on Oct 14, 2009 04:45 PM  | Hide replies

If mumbai can host final after 26/11, surely pakistan can also host few matches. Its all Sharad Pawar's game. Reginal bias. Ideally worldcup final should have been to Baramati

Yes. For the kind of military arsenel they have, Pak must be much more prepared to host these matches than India. It should the point of contention for them now. Or else they would send fresh batch of LeT or AlQ soldiers to India and ensure India doesn't host the WC11 .

why
by Snehal Joshi on Oct 14, 2009 04:37 PM  | Hide replies

why not finals and semi finals in mughal sarai, begum peth, begusarai, poornia, jhumri tallaiya, Madhepura, Siwan,Sitamarhi, Champaran, Darbhanga. The stadiums in these cities are world class, they have well behaved crowds carrying all types of weapons, and during the intermission, we can have lovely dances of Shweta Tiwari, Sambhavana Seth, Ravi Kishen and Manoj Tiwari

Watchout
by Devils Advocate on Oct 14, 2009 04:31 PM  | Hide replies

India also has security concerns , both internal (MAOs) and external (Pak). ICC should watchout for the developments and have stand-by preparations in Eng or SA as it was done for IPL. If Indian Govt. doesn't curtail the attacks and settle it with MAOs, they could aggravage and magnify by end of 2010. Besides, another attack from terrorists across the border with new arms and ammunition (Courtesy : OBAMA Admin) , would be a big set-back for India or organizing any big international event.
