Playing for India???
by S Shrikanth on Nov 15, 2009 09:21 PM  | Hide replies

Since when you have started playing for India. You are part of a private team sponsored by corporates who use this game to air their ads on TV and print media. As a private team member, you do not represent India anywhere, but you go averywhere as an entertainer like a film star.

You are the one who has been selling overpriced and low quality products of fraud consumer comoanies to Indian public for a long time and yet surviving by playing in 1 out of 10 innings because your list of sponsors is too long and they would last for another 2-3 years more.

S Shrikanth do you do your job so that you get congratulation letters and only to pay taxes... dont you do your job to make money...does that make you selfish...no u r doing a job and if your job gives you good money take it... sachin is great at his job so he gets premiums thru advertising... tiger woods,NBA, NFL and MLB players also get that... cause they r successful and are a brand that people love to follow...whats about fooling...Sachin is great at his job and does it for his team and country and also makes money cause he is succesfull... Stop being jealous of other people's success

I have just put the fact. I am sirry you have misread my message and became upset and went for personal attack. I appreciate your devotion for him, but he does have a dark side. Selling Pepsi and junk food, advertising for fraud companies like Aviva, Canon, JP group etc.The fact is that he is playing crivket to make money through this dark channel. He is not alone, all other cricketers are doing the same.

Please mind that Indian cricketers do play for their country India. They are entertainers and they play for their sponsors only.

If we are also working to make mone and he also then what is difference between him and others. While he keep on boasting himself quit often. He is hardly winning any matches for India now-a-day but still keep on appreciating himself. Players like Hayden and Gilcrsit have been much better than Sachin and have won many more matches for their country than him but never praise themselves.

True. We too are professionals and working for money.

Do we claim that we are working for India? No way. We are working for the comopany which is paying our salary.

Do you think he won these tournaments. It was the team effort which includes the bowlers, fielders and all other batsmen who contribute to win.

I remember in a match in which Gavaskar, the opener, remained unbeaten on 36 and the whole team was out.

You ever run depends on the batsman supporting at the other end. If they depart, you can not make even a single run on own.

Probably you have not seen batting his predecessors Viv Richards, Clive Lloyed, Desmond Haynes, Girdon Grinidge, Mark Greatbatch, Kapil Del, Srikkanth, Farrookh Engineer, Javed Miandad etc and contemporaries Ricky Ponting, Gilchrist or Mathhew Hayden, Chris Gayle,....

They all have very devastating style of batting.

He is delivering one in 10 innings and even in that innings he departs and puts the huge burden on tail enders.

He is only adding his records in his kitty. Team is secondary for him.
