Biggest Myth: Sachin is not a match winner!
by Rajesh Bhansali on Nov 13, 2009 06:25 AM  | Hide replies

Myth Busting Fact: Do not forget he earned a bad reputation of not being a match winner only because he has played a large part of his career under a match fixing captain, Mohammed Azharuddin and was surrounded by players like Jadeja, Manoj Prabhakar, Nayan Mongia and many more who were never caught. They left no stone unturned to make sure India lost the matches. Take the 1996 Semi final against Sri Lanka where after having scored some 92 runs Sachin got out and all of a sudden the ball began to spin. Our big players started to act like fools on the cricket field. There are innumerable matches where Sachin's efforts have gone down the drain and he earned a bad reputation of not being a match winner, only because he played 10 years under a match fixing captain and was surrounded by traitors. His opening of innings was also a move so that the fixers could control the match result later on. It is a known fact that the match fixing market buzzed only after Sachin got out.

These days there is so much money to be earned in the form of advertisements etc that match fixing is not possible in the Indian team. We have good players to win us from loosing positions. Those days most of the results were decided by match fixers.

Hated by millions of traitors this man has stood tall always and done the country proud. Please remember and spread these words. Sachin you rock!

There will never be another sun, there will never be another Sachin!

Jai Hind!

There should not be another sachin who is quite selfish. I totally agree that sachin is a great player. But, his attitude is not good. He s just playing for his own record. He also gave a stupid suggestion that 50 overs match should have a change like it should be played in 2 innnings with 25 overs so that no one can beat sachin's record. Itll be good if he retires so we can have disciplinary players in the team.

There is no medicine for idiots like you!

Being a Pakistani with an India name understand that Mohammed Azharuddin was the biggest match fixer and traitor ever born on Indian soil. Happy now?

There may not be another sun for the earth but there are millions of suns in the universe & our own sun is a rather less than average star...This doesn't take away from your point..but also clarifies that compared to the universe we are all like a frog in the well..

If the article is read carefully, apart from the praises, Rudd is conveying a different message as well, like Yuvi calling sachin grandfather and another is australia would support wholeheartedly if sachine decided to retire, is he trying to say that if sachin retires Ponting will beat at least some of his records?
We still support sachin till he is performing well and physically fit, the decision of his retirement is sole his own...
We just want to enjoy his game.....he is Maestro by all means

Even our own Sunny repeatedly discussed the grandfather topic during Guwahati game. So is Sunny also trying to mock tendu?

Do these messages like grandfather and all point towards opinion that Sachin is old now and should retire? may it be Sunny or anybody else, what is the point on repeating such messages.....everyone knows that he is crossed 35, he has plenty of runs under his belt...he is loved by our nation and others too....so why repeat grandfather theory and follwed by support for retirement?

Dude, take this another way! calling him grand pa is not something they are trying to say Sahin is getting old now but they are showing respect towards him. Doesn't it also mean a person who is most experinced and the best in the team?

When will people ever read an article properly, then digest the content and post comments. It is not a question of if Sachin or Lara or Ponting are better.... It is simply an article to marvel at what they Little Genius has achieved. Everyone who wants to shout that Sachin is the best and there is no one better, please tone down your emotions and passion, we know it. For those who take sadistic pleasure in beliitling what Sachin has contributed and continues to contribute to cricket speaks volumes about your lack of character, poor breeding and a fundamentally flawed mental attitude. As for the youngsters who have been deprived the chance to represent India due to Sachin and are supposed to be the next bright star of Indian Cricket, I humbly the recall the following names.... Mohammed Kaif Robin Uthappa Rohit Sharma Dinesh Karthik Irfan Pathan Yusuf Pathan Suresh Raina Venugopal Rao Virat Kohli Please check their averages, be it bowling or batting and get back to me.

Sachin has won atleast 54 matches for india !
by sunil kumar on Nov 13, 2009 12:50 AM  | Hide replies

Myth 1 :
When ever tendulkar scores a ton india losses ?
FACT:india has won 32 matches out of 45 when tendulkar has scored a ton which is a whopping 71%

Myth: 2)oh is it ? but this useless player should have scored all his 32 match winning centuries against weaker teams like bangla/kenya/zim?
FACT: His tons have helped india win 9 times against australia.list is as follows -
australia--9, new zealand --5, srilanks -5, kenya -4, zimbabwe-4, west indies-3, south africa-2, pakistan-1 & namibia -1

Myth 3) : All most all of his match winning centuries were scored batting second this choker cant score a run while chasing under pressure ?

Fact: Tendulkar has scored 17 tons while chasing a huge score & india has won 15 times ( unbelievable 88 %).some of his most popular innings while chasing , the one against aus in WB series downunder & the one in sharjah , the innings against pakistan in wc,

MYTH 4)May be this was long time back ,BUt in recent times whenever he has scored a ton we have lost ?
FACT:India has won last 4 matches out of 5 when he has scored a century ( 80%)

Myth5) All his Man of the match awards are useless ? we have lost those matches like we did against aus recently !

FACT: Tendulkar has won 60 MOM's out of which in india has won 54 times (90%), & 8 times he got MOM award in the finals ( Hold ur breath 100 % success rate , all were won ) . All other so called indian greats combined have played close to 1000 matches & n have not won 60 mom & won

sachin myths busted !
by sunil kumar on Nov 13, 2009 12:41 AM

q 8 )UNFAIR CRITICISM :If he is so great why none of his innings doesnt feature in wisden top 100 ?

FACT:Tendular has been rated the 2nd best batsman of all time in both tests & ODI's by WISDEN.Unfortunately non of his centuries are listen in the controversial wisden top 100 bowling & batting ratings, some of his best knocks have been over looked. Did u know even bowling lengends like glenn mcgrath & wasim akram dont feature in top 100 bowling performance .All three of them deserved a place in the ratings.

Sachin Myths busted !
by sunil kumar on Nov 13, 2009 12:40 AM  | Hide replies

Q 6)UNFAIR CRITICISM :BUt i am sure he has not won a single match when india required ?

FACT: 1)He thrashed the pakis in WC match 98 runs , critics dont remeber , please contact sohaib akthar .

2)His two back 2 back match winning innings in Australia in WB series helped india to teach the arrogant side a lesson on their own soil

3) india had lost a couple of matches in WC-2003 , people had brought the construction of dhoni's house & even attacked dravid house even dada was not spared, ten dulkar promised india would improve in future matches & brought a series of victories for us & helped reache WC FInals ( man of the series in wc-2003 )

4)2 back 2 back centuries in match winning semi finals & finals in sharjah against australia.

5) recently concluded srilanka series finals he won it with a ton.

6)has won some matches just by his bowling , remember hero cup

7) UnFAIR CRITICISM :
He is not a great player , plays for personal record , players like micheal hussey, brian lara , michael bevan etc etc are any day better than him ?

FACT: Even brian lara did not win world cup for his country. Brian lara is the only batsman who comes close to sachin. these two are class apart. Aussie players have won world cup & many matches for thier country, but the point to be noted is all 11 players in aus team is a potential match winner , thay play as a unit & put pressure on the opposition , (top batting , fielding & bowling ) thats y they win so much where as sachin
