Fact That................
by Kd Narang on Nov 13, 2009 09:49 AM  | Hide replies

Real reason behind Oz PM to salute is Australia is Going India's way as
" Big Fish in Small Pond " .Australians clearly know they can't do much in other truely International games, Olympic or any other sport except Cricket. NEVER Heard Australian PM Saluting Tiger Woods Or Roger Federer for 15 Grand Slam Titles, Never heard Saluting Usain Bolt, Michel Phelps and like of them.
The Fact that Sachin's 17000 One day runs Or 12000 Test runs are AT BEST Medicore in International Sporting Field, since
"Only Eight" nations ( All CommonWelth ) Play International Cricket.
Australians even though holding Australian Open ( Tennis ), have almost forgotten Tennis Great Rod Laver and keep appriciating ONLY about Don Bradman, OZ simply going India's way as Single Sport Country.
No surprise OZ PM saluting Sachin

Mate you better check your records when you say that. AUS has mostly finished in Top 5 in olympics in last 20-30 years. Played quarter final in the soccer world cup in germany. No.2 in the world in rugby and the list goes on...We are a sports crazy nation..not just cricket crazy...

Kd Narang:

:) Your comments are truly illustrative of "Frog in the Well" syndrome. :)

Why do you consider it important to show off your ignorance on a public forum so openly? :)

Why are you praising Narang? :)

His ignorance display warrants for a much lower categorization, compared to which "1d10t" is really a felicitation word. :)

The Aus PM is just playing to populism. He very well knows the status of sachin among indians irrespective of divisions, saluting sachin will be well received by indians and make indians forget the beatings.

Sachin's performance is only helping the aussies... by his selfish batting and indirectly making sure of the aussies victory. So no wonder the australian pm is saluting Tendulkar. Sachin must be ashamed of this.

True. Sachin May NOT have won Olympic Medal in ANY Other Event
which has Truely Global Compitition. There is Lot of money in Cricket hence media is crazy about cricketing records and making larger than life image of cricketers. If India is so talented Have there is JUST one Gold medal on one hand and 17000 cricketing runs on other hand . One Olympic Medal still counts better/more than 12000 cricketing runs.

:) Sachin's performance is helping the Aussies. Wow. :)

And Dhoni's 6 runs from 20 balls, Yuvi's and Sehwags's suicidal innings, "The Great Indian Bowling Performance" etc. are things Rudd is conveniently forgetting as being the real contributors to the Aussie domination? :)
I like your analysis. It truly gives credence to Gavaskar's pre-series verdict that this series is going to be Sachin v/s the Aussies.
:)
Agreed that Sachin didn't perform up to HIS potential (though quite well up there compared to all others). So are you saying that that was the cause of the Indian downfall? :)

Anurag - how old are you 10 years? Learn to respect someone who at least puts his best for the game. Didn't someone teach you to be a little more mature?

Yes..very true, cannot disagree with you..as i myself is a cricket ignorant, who feels that the opener is responsible for playing full 50 over and seeing the team home...what others 10 player do is of no significant important...
