so called heroes

The so called superstars of Indian national team have failed miserably... we al know when they play well its all due to Sharad Pawar's power... Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj, Irfan, Ishant, Bhajji (a consistent non performer but wont b out of team for next 10 yrs, Courtesy : I S Bindra), Sreesanth, Piyush Chawla, etc etc etc.. Rohit Sharma & Raina were fab & Rohit hardly plays these days.. he should work on political connections.. thats wat works here.. take some tips frm Gambhir, Irfan,, they r masters of these....

Sir i can understand your concern but please look last years record of gambhir, Bhajji, sehwag ETC ETC you will the see the big diferrence betweem them and your heroes, i know that they have failed in IPL but World Cup is yet to come, if they fail there then you can point out the Bad performers, what have Rohit done after so much Chances, Nothing!
Irfan has hardly played any matches in recent times because of his bad performances but you are still pointing him, i would requset you to first see the exact scenario then blame anyone.
80% of People will they that this teams is very fair selected team

Dravid's attitude..
by Bolaka Bahula on May 25, 2009 05:37 PM  | Hide replies

Anybody watched the catch missed by dravid??? It's seems like he don't want to take the catch... Many times ball bounces from the hand... and natural reaction is to catch the ball again...
What dravid has done??? He naturally wants to catch the ball again, so he take out his hand... and again dramatically he take back his hand to same catching position... I never seen such thing in cricket... Even though ball is at some distance natural reaction is always try to catch the ball and not to take the hand back which naturally went to catch it.... It's disgusting... seems like it's fixed...

u require 100% cocentration when ur in slips. So 120 balls in T20-20, u hav to cencentrate. a snick may come r not come. A little lack in concentration u drop a catch. Same thing happened to rahul. Even if u concentrate if luck is not gav u u drop it. Same thing happened to rahul.

Right Dude, mistake happens from Human only, did you forget that Dravid is hold the records for most catches in test Cricket, i dont know why that people only know to blame an invidiual, Dravid's Mistake was just a human error no one can ever doubt on his commitment in the field for his country, he is a unselfish player and a Greatest Catcher and Batsman in Test India has ever produced.
Anyone wants to argue on this is always welcome.

I am not against his mistake... I am against his reaction... even a child playing a cricket will try to catch the ball again... whether he will succeed in it or not it's a different issue... Every person who is willing to win will try... in fact it's natural reaction, u won't need to think for it... it's reflex action, normal human body phenomenon... and that reflex thing happened with rahul but he consciously took his hand back... So what will we conclude from it??

My dear ritesh, i am a big fan of dravid and the likes. But, remember one thing, these people are paid to do their job. Their job is not miss ctach and later pat their own backs saying it happens in cricket. If you miss to do your job of the day, will your boss keep quite? because he feels that you are paid to do the job and you havent done it. Next day you may be given pink slip. Why console yourself by saying 'it happens'?. You know how many millions of people felt bad for that? Those 30 odd runs symonds scored after he was dropped by dravid, costed bangalore royal challengers the title. Think of that. They were not playing a county match.

Yes, Illeyana you are right, it is very easy to comment others. when we come to the reality it is difficult to implement. Please dont comment, encourage them to try best in future.

I agree that dropping the catch is not the issue... anyone can drop it... here issue is attitude... his natural reaction... And his efforts to eliminate natural reaction...
u can see the video again... as a cricketer his body reacted correctly but he consciously took his hand away... u can clearly see that thing... As a cricket fan how can we neglect such thing?

Don't just blame Dravid alone... All the batsmen in RCB should take equal blame.... It's pity to see such a great batting line up failed to fire in finals... Next time Kumble will never field in SF & Finals after yesterday's performance

There is no use to blame anyone, when two teams are playing one has to win and the other has to loose, it was DC day yesterday and they won, why dont you see that RCB was third in the points table and from where they came to reach the Finals, as far as kumble is concerned he might be little slow in the field but dont forget his contribution with the ball, if he wouldnt have got Gilly in the 1st over then the score would have been 243 of DC but it was Kumble who took the responsibility and sent Gilly to Pavilion. Kumble is our Hero and we should respect Him.

First go to the Field face the reality and then blame others.

IPL closing ceremony
by namy jags on May 25, 2009 05:00 PM  | Hide replies

The final match between Deccan and Royals was worth every penny. Finally the best team won and I am happy that it was Deccan.

Having said so, the closing ceremony was really boring, too long and disorganized. The organizers could have done a better job of keeping it short and simple. It got over at around 1:45 am in the morning and I am working in a sleep deprived state...you can imagine the quality of work!!

it was south final
by rohit forbes on May 25, 2009 04:56 PM

it took so many years for a team from south that too hyderabad to win a tournament, thanks to all the mumbaikars who were really influcencing the team selections. now we know who has the best talent, even i dont like treating people diffrenetly based on region but the way rohit sharma was selected by sunny, ravi is a clear indication of their dominance.
