Behaviour
by Nayak Nayak on May 25, 2009 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

The behaviour of a few DC players on field yesterday was disguisting. Symonds from the beginning murmering whenever he passed a RCB batsman in typical Aussie way needless to say why and what he was saying to opposite batsmen.
He targetted Manish Pande an young opener of RCB for demoralising him. Pragyan Ozha whenever he claimed a wicket was seen abusing the batsman who fell with four letter word which anyone cqan guess from the lip movement. It is sad that a few Indian youngsters try to imitate aussies in abusing which is not good for their career. Gilchrist is an exception who through out behaved like a gentleman and he was acting positively by encouraging his own players than abusing opponents. ICL Administrators and BCCI should take antics of players like Oza seriously and penalise him if he is guilty.

Well one thing we(Indians)should know is how to stand up for ourselves . So what if someone sledges, are we so arrogant or uneducated to know that. I think sledging will be there in all games. well if you arent man enough to take sledging then you dont deserve to play any sport.

I agree with abc. If players lose concentration if sledged then they don't deserve to play. Kallis sledged Symo also. What did Symo do? Smashed him for boundaries. Symo sledged de Merwe also. His response... he whacked sixes. If your mind is so fragile that you can't handle some words, its not good cause it shows that you don't have ability to play under pressure.

IPL is luck not cricket
by SURENDRA MEHTA on May 25, 2009 02:13 PM

If u hit it is either six or four or u are out. The team needs to perform within 20 overs.
While in 50 over match, the team has to save a wicket also for last 10-12 overs.
The teams which were last have won the IPL.
Is it really cricket or luck?

IPL WINNERS
by sharadaprasad munikoti on May 25, 2009 01:24 PM

The better performing team on the day won the IPL.Kudos to Deccan Chargers ,RoyalChallangers ChennaiSK ,and Delhi DD.
Semi final owards it is anybody's game.
In the matches prior to semifinals the true ability of the teams counts.
This is the phase of the tournament where the last year's bottomer and second last , made their presence felt. This is also the phase where 14 matches are played, and the course of performance could be corrected. Both reached finals and Delhi/Chennai had joined them in last four.
In reality all the four are winners.

It has also highlights that Kumble in any form of cricket is the greatest of Indian spinner ,joined by batsmen Hayden.and Gilchrist.
