The day dada resigns, The happiest day for KKR. No politics only cricket. Dada is such a brat that he politicises the whole team and you see there is no performance at all. Sooner he goes the better.

yeah.. one has to bend down to field or look up to catch. Neither is possible by Gang-uly. So, how will he drop.. Look guys, What buchanan did is not rite.. but gang-uly is no saint. He has to change with times and leave his autocratic ways, ganging up, sleeping on the field (read as poor fielder), be part of the team. These are not possible at this stage of his career.
My mandate is Buchanan has to go, Ganguly has to go. Thats the only way to start from scratch. Otherwise, with the same team (remember contract for 3 years), even if u change the coach, ganguly will not let things happen in IPL3.. Kolkata supporters should realise, if they dont act now.. IPL3 will be much much harder. They will loose more.
I can see some bright light only after IPL3 for Kolkata.

KKR cant get any worse in IPL 3...
I feel if SAchin, jaisurya, gilchrist all can fire post 35..so can saurav..hes gt th talent too... shud b given anthr chance to bat n bowl.. fieldin was nvr his forte til he went on to play 100 tests and innumerable ODI's.
m nt supportin saurav...bt feel hes been given a very raw deal by BHOOKHA NAAN and SRK
Hi! shahrukh instead of spending crores of rupees on these players it would great if u have donated this money for a good social cause from where u would have collected lot of blessing and would called as a real "Badshah". Now u r image is Bad---Shah. If u r really concern with the cricket then uplift the new talent n i am sure that u will regain the momentum

my dear friend, who says Sharukh is investing in cricket for fame. He wants good hefty returns profits which social cause will not provide him. There is nothing called free lunch in this world my dear friend.
This to ur references of Ganguly shudnt hv taken captaincy and he would have scored 10000 test runs and 13000 ODI runs. For you kind information no batsmen averaging less than 50 has ever reached 10 thousand TEST runs kindly check. Ganguly was averaging 46 before he took captaincy (1996 to 2000). And even in this 46 average your great batsmen was averaging (From 1996 to 2000) 35 runs against Australia, 34 runs against Pakistan, 19.50 runs against West Indies and 23.92 average against South Africa.
Can you show me any great batsmen averaging that much and reaching 10 thousand runs in TEST. Test cricket is not for fragile batsmen who get scared to face fast bowlers. All the above teams had gr8 fast bowlers kindly check yourself. With captaincy or without captaincy Ganguly was never able to score like a batsmen against McGrath, Warne, Ambrose, Walsh, Akram, Waqar, Donald and Pollock. You guys call such a batsmen a great and a legend, its laughable.
Surely Ganguly would have reached 10 thousand runs but for that India would have to play continuously on flat pitches at home against NZ, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh or weak English side of 90s then surely your prophecy would have been fulfilled.

Guy's u r not simply understanding....... Buchanan not even giving opportunities to Indians, macculum is failing still he is opener, brad hodge scoring with low strike rate still he is one down, when Indians will came to for batting in the over 20th after 4 wicket down. he is simply demoralizing Indian players & want 10 foreign players out of 11. IPL is made to find and giving opportunities to Indian domestic player and not for all players of out side India. Buccanan is simply hurting Indian cricket and our indians(SRK) are helping to him.

Rahul peak started after 1999. There is no comparison between Dravid and Ganguly in test like in ODI. In test Dravid is any day better than Ganguly. In ODI Ganguly is any day better than Dravid.

I agree with you, I have no problem in accepting that Dravid is a better test batsman than Ganguly, and my above post was not meant to abuse Dravid in any way. It wss only for people who try to find fault's in Ganguly without reason.

This is bengali attitude. When Ganguly's batting is exposed against the gr8 bowlers of his time, bongs end up resorting to getting Dravid or Sachin in it, because there is nothing to show of Ganguly against the greatest bowlers of his time.

you dont need to correct yourself...noone cares a shit for your post...haha
every1 is now abusing buchanan but the fact is- its our fault. we always try to put indian down for white person. the person who has selected buchanan as coach n macculum as captain is responsible. Y dnt tht bluddy SRK ask frm that mtherfckr buchanan- whre is multycaptaincy theory? buchanan is doin this only for personal bias wid ganguly. to be very frank - thre mst b rule for IPL tht only indians can b captain/coach for IPL teams. afterall its indian league. foriegner players r getting chance to play and it is more than enough for him. so BCCCI has to play a role here otherwise we wll c some result like this-dravid, laxman n nw ganguly. kick tht buchanan out frm IPL
Thank god, the issue of ‘multiple captains’ for Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL team is all but never over! KKR is being thrashed now!
Thanks also to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan's backing and his sparkling sparkling patronage of the team! To be sure, any captain of a team is bound to get demoralized if he has to figure that the job of captaincy will have a part-time appeal to it! John Buchanan’s concept of ‘no fixed captaincy’ cannot be necessarily suitable for T20 game of Cricket because it will not only entail leadership issues which inevitably will become controversial when the games are played in the greens, but the sheer involvement of charisma one experiences in the promise of being the sole captain of a T20 cricket team would surely go.
No doubt it is affecting KKR’s performance immensely, and captaincy issue might typically ruin Kolkata team members’ allegiance in a tried and tested one-captain formula game of cricket. Multiple captains will destroy the cohesion of the game itself as a 20 over game of cricket will be too much to handle.
If the game of cricket is going through a transitory phase then so be it because it is good for the game. But the idea of limited-overs play should have one skipper; otherwise the charm of captaincy will wither away! As a cricket aficionado (IPL doesn't appeal to me much!), I believe that the ‘multiple captains’ concept is an adverse side-effect of some improper ideation process on the part of that 4-figured Aussie DUDE called Buchanan J.!
Re: Knight Time Riders!
by Chaturchuramoni Chatterjee on May 06, 2009 12:15 PM
Under Ganguly - KKR finished 6th and missed Semifinal spot may be by just 2 points. Under McCullum - After nine matches KKR is at rock bottom and has become a laughing stock.
Re: Re: Knight Time Riders!
by arindam moulick on May 06, 2009 01:10 PM
Absolutely! I blame that Aussie coach Buchanan and the fact that KKR is full of non-starters, some players do not know their IPL kinda game of short cricket! Bloody useless!
Where is the owner of the KKR team hiding? The one who not too long ago said - "be gracious in victory and be graceful in defeat". Why has he deserted his sinking ship instead of being there for them? Is it because the IPL no longer gives him the mileage and ego boost that he so desparately seeks? Has he now realised that it is dada the KKR fans love so dearly and not him. Is that too difficult to accept? Mr. King, pls leave the game to the men, it is not for sulking boys. This is not a Friday release where you can tom tom yourself and hope that the runs and wickets will come - this is for real!!
Re: Where is the King of Mice??

yes he realised that in calcutta cricket is not played with passion but politics arrogance and cunningness ... ganguly shud learn frm dravid how to accept changes gracefully .... but no use ... frm now onwards let ganguly field at third man and give chance to other young players
Re: muliple captaincy

Seems u too lost ur brains like Chatur. Go and read the newspaper's when Mccullam was appointed the captain. Buchanan had put aside the theory of multiple captain and announced Mccullam captain for the whole tournament.
And still if you dont understand or believe, read the recent last week interview of Mccullam where he said if he is not able to lead KKR to semis, he will resign. If you understand english it means McCullam was appointed captain for full IPL.
Re: muliple captaincy
by Chaturchuramoni Chatterjee on May 06, 2009 11:54 AM
Even Moses Henriques, someone averaging 23, 18 and 15 respectivley in first class, list-A and domestic T20 formats in Australia, but play first team for KKR. Long live Buchanan.
9 matches - 8 losses 1 win (that too due to Duckworth-Lewis), but only one captain.
Clearly there is no such thing call multi-captain theory, it was a tactical ploy to remove Ganguly from Captaincy, at least under Ganguly KKR was 6th and missed the semifinal spot by just a few points, not a laughing stock like this season.
Re: Buchanan's Multiple Captain Theory

No one is forgetting Dravid's, Sachin's, Laxman's or Kumble's contribution, they are all great players, but that does not mean one should insult Ganguly for no reason.

Before coming back in team for SA tour, he was telling in media "I don't know why I was dropped. See my records. I have more than 10000 runs in ODI". While when Dravid dropped from ODI he never showed his records.
