When KXIP won the matches, they won because of heavy betting by sardarjis.

IPL2.....
by Anurag Rathore on May 02, 2009 11:28 AM  | Hide replies

Top 5 : RR, DC, CSK, DD and RCB
Bottom 3 : MI, Kings X1, KKR

It was my prediction before tournament started. It's T-20. Anything can happen. Currently MI and Kings X1 have edge over RCB and RR. Let see further.

My prediction was .. DDD/DC/MI/KXI for Semi and RCB at 5th, KKR 6th, CSk -7th, RR - 8th. Some places it exactly matching. and Hope so. It will.

The competition is eliminating substandard teams!!
by Bhasmasur Rakshas on May 02, 2009 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

150 to 170 runs seems to be the bandwidth for a competitive score...150 runs can be termed as par score, 160 as competitive and 170 runs would be a very good effort which will be difficult to chase down.....

That is the way it is...most of the teams in the IPL, sans the KKR and Rajasthan royals team are now well matched and are perfectly capable of beating each other.........

Still my pick for the best teams is Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians......i think Deccan chargers will hurtle downwards from now on and might barely make it to semis...

Two teams who will definitely not make it to semis are KKR and Rajasthan....totally inept, mismanagement and lacking in quality...

Between the remaining 6 teams, BRC have already done so much damage to their chances that even if they play like champions from now on, they will not make it to semis...

MI and DDD are certainties....So between Deccan, CSK and Kings 11, one unlucky one will miss out.....and i think CSK may miss out this year cos of their bad start..

So, semifinal lineup :
DDD
MI
Deccan
Kings 11

DDD vs Kings 11 : DDD
MI vs Deccan : MI

Final : DDD vs MI...DDD champions!!!!!!

Ganguly, retire again....
by B M on May 02, 2009 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

It may not have happened in cricket, but it is time for Ganguly to retire once again (re-retire).

He should be honoured again for his contribution to Indian cricket, but at the same time, someone has to tell him that his time is completely up...he simply has not got it in him anymore.

Absolutely,
Gangully is not performing because he is not the captain. He is a selfish and self- centered person. He only thinks about himself and not the team.He was rightly handled by Greg and very rightly srtipped of captaincy in the IPL. He does not deserve to be in the playing IX.

Ganguly still is a gr8 player, he still can will matches in his own abilty,he nearly pull out a impossible win against rajasthan but luck didn't support KKR ,but he showed his fighting spirit nd a gr8 abilty 2 analyse the situaion. He is one of the most knowledgable cricketer who reads the sitaution very well and shane warne is a master in this art.I m sure he will play few more gud innings in this IPL but may be in a lossing cause because of the sorry team.

Are dost, its true that keeper had touched stumps before ball hit stumps, but that time the bails didn't come off & then the ball hit the stump, so that was out, if the bail was off because of keepers hands then it would have been not out....
