Even that does not make Dada greatest

Nor that does make our point invalid.

Keep it simple.

There was a polling by umpires after each match on how well each team behaved.

Ganguly - Warne and Sreesanth - Bhajji incidents were worst. Ganguly should not force the umpire for referring third umpire. Slapping was not right solution for Sreesanth.

CSK was very well behaved team. They were consistently- all through- ranked first in behaviour. KKR was consistently the last. Arun Lal, a KKR supporter?, was embarassed!

Secondly you are blind supporter of Ganguly because whole world had seen how Ganguly forced umpire for referring to 3rd umpire but you are not accepting it.

KKR on the verge of confusion...
by AjS on Apr 01, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

I think this could have been avoided before getting into media. The IPL is not just about Cricket but the entertainment business. So Buchanan just was thinking about the cricket and the "so-called" Aussie attitude. He completely forgot about the IPL as a business and need Gangulay playing a vital role (...leave away his performance). The strategy should be that the team should be around Ganguly and he is the one who can bring the crown and I dont think no one else there at the momement. So Buchanan must realize now the fact that IPL is not about winning but also bring the crowd to see KKR is profitable.

The question is Has Ganguly lied again like he did with Laxman in 2005 in zimbabwe, telling him that coach wants to drop him from side?. Because here too Ganguly said he didnt know about Buchanan plans of multiple captains, next day Buchanan says in media, Ganguly knew everything and was in loop of his plans. SRK neither confirms nor denies this, making it clear that Ganguly had lied. He cannot say directly that Ganguly has lied, else the foolish bengalis will come on roads and start their tamasha's again.

So you believe the great Mr. Chappal, about whom, players like Sachin, Harbhajan and Sehwag (none of them are bengali by the way) has said whose only intension was to divide and rule. Also who was recently kicked out by his own Aussie side in the tour of India?

Typical Ganguly dilemma for coaches selectors all alike.

Take him ruin performance of team or
Drop him take wrath of Bengal fans and CPM. Now third dimension for SRK loose money either way.

Ganguly was 3rd best batsman of KKR (First is McCullum who played only 3 matches), scored 3 50's and won 3 MOM awards, what is the logic to drop him?

Buchanan doesn't want Ganguly in playing X1. He has no other choice except making some other player as captain because if Ganguly will be captain he will assure his place in playing X1.

Abhi, why is it that selectors/coaches only have an issue with Ganguly? Do u ever see such protests in Karnataka when Dravid is out or in Delhi when Sehwag is out. Ganguly is a liability and his fans behave like mafia. Fans? I mean all Bongs by default.

dravid has already been kicked out by mallya
also laxman who's batting is not suited to t20
abt ganguly he is 10 times better in limited version than dravid/laxman
now u know why ganguly fanes protest
dravid makes 20 runs eating up 100 balls in tests
what will he do in T20
last IPL ganguly won 3MOM awards
now get lost with dravid who won 0 MOM AWARDS IN LAST IPL

Abhi, whoever you may be, either from Bihar, UP, Maharashtra or from any nook and corner of this mother land, at least have some decency and decorum when on Board. It seems your parents do not teach you as to how to respect the feelings of others - may be from karnakata, Gujarat, AP or Maharashtra.

captain issue in IPL
by sanjay naik on Apr 01, 2009 09:56 AM

This is foolesh idea of multiple captain in one tournament.Instade of unity among the players they will divide on the race of captain. This idea of Kolkata Knight Riders chief Shah Rukh Khan only to target Ganguly in order to force Ganguly to quit.

Whats the big fuss?
by Pappu Saala on Apr 01, 2009 09:46 AM

Don't understand why make a fuss of this non-issue?

A coach thinks captaincy can be shared among senior players, lets see how this works. Gangu was a great captain, but T20 demands a lot more in a short amount of time. May be its best to separate the roles.

Zaheer is hailed as the bowling captain in the national side. Though unofficial, Dhoni definetly started this role playing scheme. Credit should go to him or whoever came up with the idea.

KKR could make ganguly captain for first four matchesand then see
by rihanna on Apr 01, 2009 09:08 AM  | Hide replies

KKR could make ganguly captain for first four matchesand then see if he loses 3matches or all four drop him and take mccullum or gayle instead they really made it a huge issue it was unnecessary as ganguly was still temprarory captain if he would win all his captaincy games then or most of them then he would prove himself and continue but if he fail and loses than buchanan would have made his point and ganguly would be properly dropped
ganguly and his fellow bengalis ought to learn from dravid laxman not to make a big issue out of this i dont think they played badly either
