Greg Chappell tired to eliminate him but he came back for the South African series in 2007 with a bang...then scored runs in England in 2007, against Pakistan in India and also against SA and Australia in India.......
After his comeback, his performances in test cricket were much better than those of Rahul Dravid....

Nobody should be considered indispensable in any field of work. Yesterday, someone had excelled in a field and today, he is replaced by a new one --This is a universal fact and applicable to any living animal, not the human being alone. So, I donot agree with what SRK has on Dada. We believe IPL is a Govt. controlled and higher standard cricket tournament than ICL and it needs to maitain its International Standard. So, What is the difficulty in screening out the real and fit players ! Afterall, you are playing in the most rigorous form of cricket, i.e.,T20-20. Give chance to the fit and younger players and make the matches of high standard. At least, they will do fielding much better than the older lot. My suggestion is to keep Ganguli as a non-playing Captain and select the other players only on merit and with proper physical fitness.

there is a news that due to unavailability of few foreign & indian players, BCCI has suggested to invite some women foreign & indian players to play in IPL.
