Damn, the BCCI When the Nation is ceased of the constitutional obligation of holding peaceful elections, BCCI is acting in a anti-national stance. While I do not advocate governmental intereference in Cricket matters, yet the BCCI should be checked for its adamant behaviour.
Be it Congress or BJP or BSP or CPI/M...... Nobody cares about my motherland INDIA.... Everybody bloody cares about their profit, chair and political prospects. Noboby puts the country first... Go to hell CONGRESS , BJP, BSP, CPI/M, MUSLIM League, SP, NCP, JD. All politicians are unworthy sons of my motherland. May the true sons of my motherland rise and bring glory to my country!

I agree fully with the 1st part. But I disagree with the 2nd part. BCCI is not interested for Cricket. They are only interested to make money. Hell with BCCI.....M.K.Banerjee,Kolkata

this is just a matter of political one-upmanship.... Bloody hell.... If the politicians could ever put the interest of the country first...
It is Indian Premier League not english premier league or south african premier league. It is in order to hold it INDIA. If the politicians in INDIA had any shame...... it is a matter of pride to hold the IPL in INDIA at a time like this .... show the world that INDIA is not an anarchy. That INDIA my motherland is inhabited by sensible people...... But no! These impotent politicians and beaurocrats have let me and my INDIA down....... This is appaling......
We have been branded cricket crazy by the world at large. Let us earn some foreign exchange, by extending this craze to other countries. Gadepalli Subrahmanyam
In first place, all will agree that BCCI is acting as Self Government. BCCI thinks they control economy of India through their Cricket earnings. Never the less, our Govt. is to be blamed for allowing the BCCI to get so adamant and stubborn. The game is already a business and players as well as Politicians and the Buniesss houses has spointed the chastity of the game. Yet when the BCCI is trying to ride on the Government saying that govt. failed to give security for the game and putting game ahead of the Election which are of more importance and sensitive issue relating to the pride of our Country, the BCCI should be tought a lession. The event couled be held later and nothing at the cost of country's pride. The BCCI should be SUPERCEEDED and a Govt. nominee should head the BCCI. This act will not only control the BCCI, the huge money involved in it and always keep intact the pride of country. The Govt. should act upon immediately to restore the image and pride of our HINDUSTAN.
Having Pakistanis on board will reflect that the whispers in the coridor are correct that IPL organissors and owners are non petriotic. All have forgotten common mans intersts but are focusing on their money. I am sure after SRK refusingto add Kolkota as a team name his intendtion would be to have Pakistanis in his team to help his friends buy guns and assist taliban in pakistan
If they had started it as Indian Premier League, BCCI should have throught through before freezing the dates. General elections were coming anyway around April. Have we ever heard of EPL being held anywhere outside England? (someone can correct me if I am wrong).
Even if the matches are held in India, how many matches would one see in the stadium? 2,3? With the high rates on the tickets, most prefer to watch from home. We watch most of them on the TV. I think the real loosers would be those who would have done business on merchandise. These guys must be loosing a plenty. The officials - they would never loose. In fact they would be having a great summer holiday outside India, courtesy IPL money. Players also miss the euphoria of Indian crowds cheering. Let us see how the show goes on....
