VERY POOR FINISH INDIA
by shobha on Mar 14, 2009 02:48 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni failed as captain. Whatsoever the pitch team should bat 50 overs min and cannot get all out so early. High time Srikanth look at his appraisal

Uthappa??? Are you kidding..That guy can only play on the on side for me...I want VenuGopal in the team...The guy showed his quality playing for Deccan Chargers in last seasons IPL...

I had very much hopes from Rohit Sharma but I guess he needs more time..When I first saw him in Australia , I thought he is the new Rahul Dravid with sound technique..

Now why Venugopal is not in the team is a mystery for me.

Rohit needs some more experience
by Kamal on Mar 14, 2009 02:37 PM  | Hide replies

The main weakness with him is his assumption. He assumes that the player at the other end is also equally fast runner like him. He needs to practice to balance. Its just an experience needed. Seniors of the team, I think, are keeping mum. Rohit is a good player material for 2011 world cup. Remove seniors from the 2011 squad and include him.

Overpaid underperformers.
by peter fernandis on Mar 14, 2009 02:36 PM  | Hide replies

The grief is not about losing but the manner of losing. It shows that despite the media hype and hoopla over the indian invincibles, Indian team has a long long way to go. After winning with average teams, we should not rate ourselves very high. There is a lot of scope to improve. We should show fighting spirit and should not be merely pushovers.

Irfan would have played
by mohammed ali on Mar 14, 2009 02:27 PM  | Hide replies

It is nice to see that India won the ODI series. Mr. Dhoni would have included Irfan Pathan by resting Zaheer as the test series is going to follow. At least to have one match practice. If they dont want to give any chance then why the selection panel selected to him. After winning the series he should have included dinesh kartik and irfan pathan by giving rest anybody from the team. Any how we have won the series after a long decade and the team made happy to us. The way they have lost the game is totally hearting. If they keep the bowling standard like today can we won test series. Previously we have blamed Munaf Patel, what Ishant doing there? Also, it is better to drop rohit sharma not doing well instead of him we can add players like Tejeshwar pujara or Manoj Tiwari etc.,. They are quiet fanstastic player to watch.
Any how test series is totally different and we hope that the men in blue will perform upto their potential and will win the series.
Wish you best of luck Mr. Dhoni & Co., Chuck de India. Poor Irfan.

irfan pathan was complete flop and would have been included only in case of injury to all other options
