Money moves the world! It passes boundaries, nationality, race, color and emotions. No one is immune to it. Neither you, not I and certainly not Gujarathis. What we can avoid is making such racist statements that is devoid of logic. I am from South India and we look up to Gujarathi brothers for showing us progress. Stereo-typing is the worst type of racism. How do you feel when a white man ridicules you for being dark. How can you do the same to your fellow brothers and sisters?
All Tests , T20's and ODIs should be played in South Africa or any other alien country on account of security. We indians are fools and will watch them on TV.

These IPL guys are national shame. Instead of equating the importance of IPL with that of elections, these guys should have been called the nation to exercise franchise to select right candidates. These money mongers never realises importance good governance and security of common man. If any terrorist strike happens during, these guys will never mind live telecast to whole world they can derive sufficient fooder and revenue.

Lets see how many of these money mongers have time for casting their votes. Ridiculous!
Dogmas remain! I just get pleasure out of watching the game. For some, the business sense multiplies their pleasure. That's nature's choice. Choosing the venue for very many reasons - Responsiveness / Security / Accessibility is not my decision as a viewer. For me it is just cricket! I will continue to watch the game, where ever held. The Home Minister or IPL Organizers do the best to retain the game in the best possible form, though are not happy with the current situation of events; are doing the best they can... The HOPE OF BETTERMENT should only live, be the game, the spirit, the pleasure, the business... It does make no political sense.

good one. I see the only parties involved here as the 'viewer' and the 'provider' of entertainment. If those 2 dont have any problem, then what is the issue!
Those who fall out of the 2 groups, just relax and look the other way.
Modi is a gujju, and all gujjus run after money. For money they can even sell their father and mother, and here in this instance modi sold India for the sake of India. I would request all patriotic Indians to boycott this event. Bcci should sack such a stupid non-patriotic Indian.

it is so easy to blame someone who has all the good intelligence to make money. i m not talking about mr. modi. gujarat is one of the most prosperous state of our country. and of course it has a major contribution in upbringing the economy of our country. i dont understand where does the question of selling father and mother comes into this. someone has shown great intellingence in making money. its pure business. today u comment on modi that he is running after money and so does all gujju......but to be very clear, if u were in his place, i dont think u wud hv spoken the above sentences. when u r making good money, u wud never want to bear a loss...regionalism doesnt come here. there are thousands of big businessman in this country (mind u not only in gujarat but in every state), who never go to vote on a common public booth while standing in a big queue with common poor people. there can be exceptions to that but thats very rare. what wud u comment on these people?
no. im not talking about the attack. but the lack of absence of guilt or the absence of a tinge of sadness. the pakistan society has been immune to terror attacks. they have lost the ability to see peace as the only means to sustain democracy. its a sad day, for the terror agents have been successful in hijacking a whole nation, and yet the people dont see it.
I fully endorse the article of Mr.B.Raman. Why should IPL be allowed to conflict with the elections. As it is even in normal times the whole exercicise is very complex and with the terrorist scenario I feel it would be wise to organise tournaments in such a manner that there is no untoward incident. The organisers must keep this in view and not create catch22 situations. Prithviraj Chatterjee.

I agree with you. The national pride should be reserved for democracy and not IPL. Though i love IPL, it pales when compared with our rights and duties as a citizen of India. Right now the rediff articles should be analyzing the candidates, starting healthy debates on various issues of national importance, educate the citizens on their rights, and the power of the ballot, encourage voting for better canditates to make the lok sabha more civilized.
IPL sadly cannot compete with general elections. I know a lot of money is at stake for the franchisees, but it is not of national importance.............is it.
