If IPL players/ organizers/ spectators are hit or attached by TERRORISts, it will not only affect IPL,,, but also international tours will get a jolt. No team will come to INDIA for cricket. India will be isolated like PAK. ONLY Pak will come to play cricket
Why did the Home Minister or Election Commission did not take IPL into account while announcing election dates and security arrangements. Obviously IPL dates have been available with the Home Ministry for long. This seems UPA under the lungi cover of terrorists. This has been the greates achievement of UPA in the last 5 years

Elections are far more serious stuff than an entertainment. I love cricket and I love IPL but that doesn't mean it should be given more importance than things like elections, education, employment, national security and so many things that make it possible for us to live. How much ever corrupt Indian politicians might be but they have managed this country better than anyone else in our neighbour.
IPL should be held if India is any power worth mentioning. 9/11 in US did not stop base ball or football league. BTW, some people in the forum are asking IPL to pay for the security, IPL pays every penny, unlike politicians with 'Z' category using tax payers money

Noway you can have cricket supersede the National General elections. There is far more importance to it. If our Home minister thinks that it is strain on security forces to provide security then lets go with it. We can have IPL later or if possible can change the venue to some other COUNTRY.
But I am not sure why can't the ICC & IPL organizers come up with another schedule, they should have some backup plan

If elections are more important, why should cricket be deferred. They are two different things. Security?? C'mon, recruit more and keep them for elections and have the experts guard highest politicians the IPL. New recruits do not need to be infront of every tom dic and harry politician. While few may give importance to politics, I give importance to our country. If IPL is not held, then it would be an insult to BCCI and India and subsequently others may take over again. Again we will see six men being thrown out of match for misconduct from Indian team. Sachin being held for ball tampering. Morons like Steve Waugh and other cricketers start to sledge and at the end India would be at loss.
Guys, what are you all talking about ?? The Statement from Home Ministry was its not that they cannot provide Security to IPL .. But its just that they don't want to stretch their Security Forces to such an extent. India is one of the Super Power Economic Countries and we are very well capable of handling the toughest of situations. Like someone said earlier here that the IPL need to deposit money for taking up security and Government shouldn't bare the expenses for Security .. Well .. i'll say you people must need to know that IPL does Pay for getting the Security, its not that they just eat the top of the cake and walk away .. As far as the hosting and postponing of IPL is concerned .. I guess IPL sponsors and organizers have submitted their revised Schedule of the match dates to the Government. Therefore we just have to see what our Honourable Mr. Chidambram has to say on this. So, guys keep your calm and let the people out there do their best. Just Chill Guys ..

well, India and indians are used to terrorist attacks and killing. what if couple of indians are killed in terrorist attack during IPL, we will fight back and our cities and lives go on.IPL should be conducted, if the foreign players dont want to come, let them stay in their homes. we Indians are brave people and we give a damn to terrorist killings, the terrorists them selves one day realize it is waste to kill these kafirs.
