IPL

Dear friends,
It's really funny. At this point, IPL is not necessary to conduct. Since there is heavy threatening from the terrorists, there is no need to conduct IPL with the tight schedule since the Election also is going to come. Hence I agree with Home Minister's suggestion.

Rajan.

I strongly agree with you.it is not neccesury to conduct..the priority here is Elections which is a future of india... not the game where some people can make money...

people understand the importance of sachin
by tumhara baap on Mar 05, 2009 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

At least now people shoulld understand the importance of Sachin.

He need not hit out every ball, he can play cheeky shots behind the wicket to

get runs, he can give advise to fellow partners at the crease when batting and

above all his presence always puts the opposition team under pressure whether

he performs in a match or not.

The team needed Sachin because he would not have made the team lose many

wickets in the beginning...he would have advised Sehwag, Gambhir and Yuvraj to

play sensibly....

Please Please Please understand the importance of God of cricket Sachin....its

not in his scores....but in his overall presence with the team.....let him

play for India till he wants to....we should be greatful to God to give us a

kohinoor like Sachin Tendulkar

IPL has money to make pvt security arrangement
by Moses Joseph on Mar 05, 2009 05:09 PM  | Hide replies

IPL SHOULD HIRE PRIVATE SECURITY INTERNATIONALLY AND RUN THEIR OWN SHOW ON THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY. TAX PAYERS CANNOT PAY FOR IT AND LATER FACE CRITICISM IF THERE IS A TERROR STRIKE. HOME MINISTER CHIDAMBARAM CANNOT TAKE THIS RISK AND REPONSIBILITY, USING TX PAYERS' MONEY. GOOD LUCK TO IPL AND INTERNATI9ONAL SECURITY GUYS. MAKE MONEY ALROUND USING CRICKET PLAYERS AS HEROES.

For info - IPL or who ever it is, if asking for security has to pay for it. An amount has to be deposited for the security provided by the Local Police or CISF.

Moses,

IPL pays every penny of the security, the only exception was SRK having dispute with the Calcutta Police on the amount to be paid for the security. They are better than the politicians who have 'Z' category security with Tax Payers Money. It is a shame that terrorist attack in Pakistan can stop a a premier league, 9/11 in US did not stop the football or baseball league. This shows that terror has overtaken the UPA government

IPL is much more important b'coz the IPL support don't want to miss there time pass zone. These are the mentality of Indian. They don't care about the presurre on the security forces or Police man's. They just want enjoyment. These people are much more selfish than Modi Saheb. They don't care the importants of General election, so why the Politician take care of these ass.

Selfish Indian.....

Dear friends,
I read whole of your comments. Yes, I agree with you. IPL says nothing and useless. IPL will conduct in whole parts of India during which, we have to give our full protection i.e., security for which, so much of expenses will made. At the same time, in this situation, if one foreign team visit our place for playing One day match or Test match, we can give full security to protect them. I hope Home Minister should not allow IPL this time to conduct games.

Rajan.

IPL should tell foreign players that they are free to drop out. But if they drop out they will not get a chance to participate for the next 5 years. I guarantee that each of them will show up.

that is bullying. We should not do such a stupid thing as it can backfire and be a slap on the BCCI's face.

by sampath kumar on Mar 05, 2009 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

dont provide security for elections let the candidates know what is fear and let their life be at stake. As after elections new govt any how will have all security for themselves and they dont provide for common man. now atleast common people enjoy cricket

Elections should be postponed so that IPL matches are played as per schedule. Anyway there is nothing forward to look for common man from the outcome from elections..so let elections them take back seat.
