Forgetting bowlers
by yogesh kumar on Jun 11, 2009 06:41 AM  | Hide replies

I'm amazed that we people always forget the bowlers' contributions, giving credit to batsmen or captain only. But to me, bowlers always play crucial part in a team's success, as Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan has done> no one in our discussion has praised Zaheer Khan who bowled so well yesterday to restrict minnows Ireland. I'm sure Zaheer will play major role in next matches too and will do his best to retain the T20 World.

Perhaps the high command has asked just to target Dhoni, build up undue pressure on him so as to oust him from the team. The only way to do that seems to be by disguising public, spreading rumors etc.

Dhoni is promoting himself to no. 3 even though he is struggling for form.
He just has amazingly talenred team & he is just riding on their performance. Sachin was correct when he said that Its the current team he has that is the strength...

So go on Dhoni, keep playing your dirty games but your time will come & soon

understand this....
Dhoni cant hit sixes like before, so he promotes himself up the order to hold one end and then other guys can take risks and play their shots.

why Dhoni started feeling Indespensable Lately?
by Deepak sarkar on Jun 11, 2009 04:33 AM  | Hide replies

Really one wonders whether Mr.Dhoni started feeling that he is running the Indian cricket or he has suddenly become overconfident that he is running the show. Nowadays he does more talking by his mouth and his batting has become silent , he should thank his star that BCCI has given him best bunch of Players what's his personal contribution. Its team game and captian should lead from the front!

Yeah nowadays he does more talking by his mouth but this stupid media still is complaining that he doesn't want to talk or never tell things and hide things. You are also right when you say the captain should lead from the front because it seems like he always try to mimic Sonia Gandhi - trying to lead from behind and keeping himself always hidden.

irfan must sit out
by munno patel on Jun 11, 2009 04:09 AM

Why are we still picking irfan in the 11? He gets hammered every time. He has no bowling left in him and Dhoni shouldn't keep backing him up solely on his batting ability.

India will fall due to the Glory Hunter Dhoni.
by GS on Jun 11, 2009 02:33 AM  | Hide replies

India is a good team with excellent bowlers and strong batting and definitely can win the T-2 0 cup. The reason they are this good is because of their bowlers with extensive experience from IPL have staged a claim on the T-20 format which other countries have not been able to do so. However India has one weakness which will cause their downfall ie. Their glory hunter captain Dhoni. He is a mediocre batsman at best and definitely needs to come lower down the order probably 4 down. However Dhoni want to come up the order, this is because he knows that he will lose his celebrity status if People like Rain and Yuvi continue to shine at the top and finish the games without him, he realized this when Badrinath finished the game against RR and look what he did to him then, never promoted him again ever!. Hence he promotes himself up the order. But he absolutely does not have the skills even when he played for CSK let alone India to come at #3. All it will take is one good batting team to get past the vice like grip our bowlers have and score 180 and our weakness in #3 will be greatly exposed and India will lose. If this happens as it did to CSK, you will have Dhoni to blame. He may be the captain but by no means he is the leader, his self interests currently far override the importance of his team.

I fully agree with you GS. Dhoni is selfish captain in India. He should be outsted from his post. When others are proving their presence either in batting or bowling our friend MSD (or call him rascal as per coke advertisement and nobody will mind it) who lack luster in his batting performance project him as experimental captain to move up in the batting order to get the batting form. Luckily we have inexperienced team like Bangladesh and Ireland. If we had Srilanka, West Indian, Pakistan, New zeland it would have been different scenario. However we are lucky to have good batting order and decent bowling strength which save us from defeat. If he fail to win this T20 Cup then he should be outsted from the team.

Yeah, he just keeps on experimenting. I mean I remember when he brought Murali Karthik out of nowhere in a crucial one-day match. You know what the guy took a five-wicket haul and Indian team won. Now how do we 'frame' Dhoni when Indian team keeps on winning? I think we need to do something to make the team lose first in order to frame Dhoni out. What do you think?

I fully agree with the views. We have lot of big hitters like Pathans, apart from Raina and Yuvraj and we must go for maximum runs never less than 200 which we are capable of.
Who will make Dhoni understand he is not every thing.
