I think Gambhir played well. Rohit although is amongst runs but it's my opinion that I find him playing not as comfortably as he used to down the order. Not that his order should be changed but he bats more solidly and misses less but since he has started opening up he is missing more which perhaps not is his true class. Maybe it will take a little time for him to be his classical self.

Politics in Indian cricket Team
by rkdmumbai on Jun 11, 2009 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

We notice Politics in Indian team.
Dhoni sucks coming to play on No. 3 for the sake of ads to be shown of his sponsors.
He brought politics in Indian team, he should be immediately kicked from Indian team. Let him enter Indian Politics.

Dhoni wants to bring R.P.Singh in the team therefore Pathan is getting secondary treatment. Fielding becomes average when Pathan is bowling. Yesterday we saw Ishant Sharma while restricting that four runs. Everybody could see that he deliberately let the bowl go out of boundary line.

Rift between Dhoni & Sehwag has paralysed the batting lineup at this crutial time.
And so many other points, which proves that Indian Cricket Team is in Politics due to Dhoni.

I challenge Indian Team is not going to bring back T20 World cup due to above.

I will be happy if India make it to semi, because defending a T-20 title is more difficult to defending an ODI title. T-20 is unpredictable format. If India reach in semi it will be so much appreciable because of their consistency.

I guess the Current Sixer should be an Eighter would make it a bit rational. Also restriction on number of balls a batsman faces to 4 overs ie 24 balls, would really balance out.

Wrong assessment about Dhoni
by f f on Jun 11, 2009 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

People making wrong assessment about Dhoni

If Dhoni stays for long period, then it helps the sponsors! Ah! What a Joke! Then why not he comes up the order in Test matches, where you can pose long forever?

If Dhoni wants to pose, he can wear all kind of apparels (why only worry about bat?) during wicket keeping. He can ask as many slow bowlers as possible to bowl and stand up the stumps clearly showing all advertisement hoardings on his body!

Dhoni is doing this (coming up the order and harnessing his striking abilities) for the sake of team! People have easily forgotten his blistering innings of 180 earlier in his career.

He sacrificed so much for the sake of team (especially once he became captain and understood the big responsibility unlike other idiots who did not no ABCD about captaincy apart from piling individual milestones) He also gave up the funky hairstyle that he had in order to become serious at his job and avoiding people from concentrating on unnecessary things.

As long as team is doing well, why people worry about individuals?

People should understand that this team is the best successful team in entire cricket history of India. The fans can have faith in this team and can watch the game hoping for a win always!

People are not as intelligent as Dhoni.
In last T-20 WC everybody wanted Dhoni at 3 but he surprised everyone, now everybody wants him at 7 but he is coming at 3.

Surprising the opposition is the success key of Dhoni. If everybody can think like Dhoni there will be no difference between Dhoni and an ordinary expert. People wants entertainment but Dhoni wants victory.

wht sacrifies he did for the team? cn u list them plz? who r the other idiots u r talkin abt? listen i m agree tht team is performing well n thts the reason all the mistakes of dhoni r getting hidden.
but honestly speaking, dhoni at number 3 is nt goin 2 benifit india. its T20 match n not ODI. in 50 over match dhoni may take time to stay on wkt bt in T20 if he wll do tht, 20 over ll b finished. he made 183 runs in ODI n not in T20. in T20 jst chck the records-in prev world cup dhoni ws coming down the order n not at 3rd position.m really worried - this may harm the performance if the team.

We are playing with only 6 specialist batsman. A wicket collapse in top order will sure push India to a defeat. Only Gambhir and Dhoni can stop wicket fall. They should play in top order.

nt togather, as both tries to stay on wkt only. its 20 overs game only n if one is saving the wkt then some 1 frm another end shd try 2 attack.
if both will try to save the wkt for 20 overs , do u think india wll b able to make more than 150 runs? never.its foolish. only 20 overs r there n wkt saving has less importance in comparision to making runs in T20.

Is there a world beyond Dhoni?
by Grover Omprakash on Jun 11, 2009 11:16 AM  | Hide replies

Poor Rohit Sharma, made a half century and nobody's willing to appreciate him. Zaheer did it again but no appreciation and my god this Dhoni... can stump with his knees... ridiculous, he should know how to stump with his gloves. Success and money got his head so much that he has started to do stumpings with his foot. He should be removed as a wicketkeeper.

Dhoni should not bat at No-3. Suresh raina should be at that place and best place for Dhoni shall be at N0-6 after Y. Pathan. R.P.Singh who was the highest wicket taker in the recent IPL, should replace Irfan Pathan

It is stupid mentality of the people who writes absurd about Dhoni, it is quite natural when the person is on top he is blamed for any silly thing, like the same set of people critisized Sachin, Rahul etc. Now this stupid Selva writes Dhoni has to learn many things, like what, why dont you specify. Idiotic comments.
