Media is useless no.1- Dhoni is useless no.2
by Rudran on Jun 09, 2009 11:46 PM

Media to keep their ratings high, publish anything and everything that they set their ears upon....such a pathetic organization it is.
And Dhoni doesn't deserve any of the praise he gets right now....he doesn't even deserve to be captain. He is just an unorthodox batsman who swings his bat at will, and even dravid does better wicket keeping than him.

Media Deserve This

The Way Indian Journalists behave in a press conference, fighting and shouting over each other and behave like morons, this is the best way..

Media is powerful but they should learn the responsibility side as well which comes with power..just for juice story and eye-ball time they can not comes out with some nonsense stuff

Dhoni himself doesnt desrve a place in this team.

Why dhoni is dictating terms this way,is he the ultimate boss, his behaviour is detoriating day by day..He himself doesnt deserve a place in this gr8 T-20 team,he was looking clueless while batting against bangladesh,he was finding it impossible even 2 score a single boundary, thanx 2 that effortless hitting frm yuvraj otherwise we would hav had an intersting game against ireland 2morrow,even dravid is a far better T-20 player than Dhoni. How can he even think about coming ahead of raina, yuvraj and the pathans.Dhoni must know his potential(i mean standard)he doesnt hav a technique even 2 qaulify as a international batsman, even harbhajan singh has a better technique. To cut the long story short he is in the team only becoz of his luck, the day his luck will stop favouring him, he will be the first person 2 be shown the door.

I agree with you. BCCI should consider sacking him and making you the captain of the Indian cricket team!

You have proved that you have absolutely no idea about cricket! Get a life, man!

dhoni's servile and flattery nature is all good for his BCCI bosses
he shd know that nobody is immortal
indian cricket was there b4 dhoni
and will be after him as well
instead of being pretentious he shd ponder on his batting that he did vs BANGLADESH coming in at no 3
that will be better for him and his team as well

Indian news channels

The way the 24 x 7 channels report news, the notion "Headless Chickens" once uttered by the former Indian envoy to US Ms. Sen as reported in the media, suits them. They want their ratings go up, for which they will travel any miles...

okay dhoni was right in blaming media for the so-called cooked up stories between him n sehwag.
but once sehwas was declared unfit n was ruled out of the wc, he cud hv straight away talked abt the fact in short without commenting anything else. but averting from questions on sehwag n telling that bcci vl gv the statement is really asking suspicions even in the minds of many. so dhoni shud come clean on it.

Why should he let the irresponsible media dictate terms? He is right in routing the information through proper channel! Otherwise, the stupid media would have misquoted his words to report that "MSD claims to have thrown Sehwag out of the team"!

Way to go, Dhoni!

Anyone not in Dhoni's good books gets eliminated..........
by Bhasmasur Rakshas on Jun 09, 2009 11:07 PM  | Hide replies

It all began with senior vs junior debate and Dhoni took full advantage of it :

Ganguly went first, VVS Laxman's ODI career was ended abruptly, DRavid was axed by Vengy and Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid and Kumble were forced to make themselves unavailable for T20 WC............

At some stage Sreesanth got into bad books of Dhoni...Sreesanth's career has been finished....Munaf does not get along well, Munaf has been axed..now Sehwag has been axed xos he is not on great terms with Dhoni...

Next in line could be Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan...it is an open secret that dhoni does not like or want Irfan in team but prefers Praveen kumar...over a period of time, MSD will slowly prepare a team of his own chelas and yesmen..

People who are safe in Dhoni's regime : Raina, Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Yuvraj singh, Bhajji, Ojha and Zaheer...rest better start counting your days....MSD is just a cheap dictator or what??

It was a well known fact that Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman were no good in the shortest version of the game. Pathan has made India lose many matches with his wayward bowling. Sreesanth is an over-rated bowler with a silly attitude deficiency too! Sehwag has never really got going in the T-20 matches, even in the IPL, and was probably looking for an excuse to be away from the team in a controversial manner to protect his image! Every captain has his own band of performers, at least Dhoni's emphasis is on performance unlike that of Ganguly and Kumble, the master politicians!

These same idiots who are now criticizing MSD had sung his glory a few days ago, and it is just plain jealousy that is now coming out of nincompoop guys like you!!!!

Haha, Typical loser reply from a dork like you, did not expect a half logical reply from a demented guy like you....

I said Irfan Pathan vs Praveen and Irfan is surely better but MSD prefers Praveen...Sreesanth is as good as RP yet RP gets the nod......

And now Sehwag has been given short shrift as his equation with Dhoni is not great...don't ignore the obvious!!

And everyone selected to play is a pal of the captain, not because of performance. Right??? So they should lose all the time,eh? Why, because they are only playing thanks to the captain. And all reserves not playing are in bad books.

A captain has been selected because he is the better judge of who is better against which opposition at the time, so Dhoni is just doing a great job.

dhoni good frnd with yuv.
there was a talk of veeru yuv tussle during/around the time of odi wc 2 years back. at that time, sehwag's coach blamed yuv for sehwag's exclusion from the team.
yuv made vc by removing sehwag. then sehwag becomes vc removing yuv.
now may b dhoni comes to help for yuv. may b or may not b?

Why should 'PAID' Media be responsible and true?
by tanmay chauhan on Jun 09, 2009 11:02 PM  | Hide replies

Indeed a section of media has been irresponsible and false but it seems some poor people got paid and are under extreme pressure to do what they're doing - watch hindi news channel 'Khaaj' Tak and you'll clearly interpret they're not only blowing up the issue but almost working as 'puppets' to keep the issue in news. I had raised a question in part-1 when Prem Panicker's blog was attached that why did media chose this perfect timing to raise such stupid question...just on the eve of T20 World Cup? Now I would want to ask if Sehwag IS injured then why would you want him to play? Isn't it safer to let him rehabilitate for his own career? Besides Sehwag wasn't the only one who didn't come out for practice, Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan were other two, why don't you raise questions about them?

Excellent observation. Media is totally irresponsible. Honestly when they should be boosting team's morale for bringing the cup back to India, these so called breaking news journos are diverting the team's mind just to keep their TRP going. You know what, we can see thru all TV channels, wire agencies and NPs.Is this journalism.

Thanks for the appreciation Preshi but I hope some vigilant media rep sees this and takes initiative to try to eliminate this whole debate for now, at least until the end of WC. People have their own opinions but we should focus on what's good for the team rather than getting indulged into rubbish and by raising/creating this issue at this time, perhaps the media has forgotten it's fundamental responsibility and that's what concerns me the most.

Dhoni may have degraded in his attitude but Indian media didn't deserve any better. If media can interpret Sehwag's injury as rift between Dhoni and Sehwag then they could have easily interpreted Dhoni's response on Sehwag's fitness as Dhoni sacked Sehwag. I think it's high time media gets bit more responsible and let India focus on World Cup rather than their interaction with media and players who are injured and returned home.

Hail the Sabse Tez channels Aaj Tak, Headlines today, News24 who are known not for the news but for the masala talk they prepare (create programmes from programmes). This is Indian media. Even channels like CNN-IBN and NDTV 24x7 have turned lacklustre. They are no more interested in telecasting news, they are just masala channels.
The only good news channel now is BBC, the media of which just presents the news and leaves the discretion of interpretation to the crowd which watches it.

Media should leave Dhoni alone and let him play and inspire the team. The way they make headlines and make mountain out of a molehill , these jounos should be writing fiction instead of reporting the so called'Truth'

Dhoni is perfectly alright..
by sathishkumar c on Jun 09, 2009 10:57 PM  | Hide replies

hey guyz, Dhoni is perfectly alright.. he is not at all arrogant.. except for a few mistakes like coming down at no.3, he has not made anything..it is the media which is blowing out of proportions..Dont forget that it is Dhoni who brought the Team together and broke down the silos between individuals. may be he may do some mistakes now, but after all he is also a human being.. he cant make everything perfect.. when he committs a small blunder, the media is blowing..primarily for their daylong primetime news n breaking news, specifically to include their TRBs. If these media are really interested in Indian victory, they should not mentally disturb the team or the captain now, as it is not the right time.. once the world cup is over they can start their queries.. but they are not ready to wait..why? bcoz if they miss now no body cares abt the news after the worldcup.. Its primarily business... they need to run their business.. they doesn't want to motivate indian team.. becoz that wont increase their TRBs.. but now, look at them..every channel is displaying a new title so as to create interest among viewers..

Media persons should be ashamed of themselves, they are harrasing the poor captain when he is only doing his job that is to bring the cup back.If India does not succeed in doing that then Media should launch a campaign against their ownselves.
