the number of years they have troubled murali and the way they have spoilt sri lanka's name, they deserve this.
aussies should think what they did wrong and how it has come back to hit them hard.
Playing 13 member teams brings the decline of team because you lose your courage.
Australia is a lesson for all 12 and 13 member teams - how to spoil a good team by making them rely on help from umpires and so destroy the team's core mental strength.
once you are weak inside, it is only a matter of time.
Murali, on the other hand, is going towards 800 wickets at breakneck speed !!
Dont worry your group is very tough not like team india group, team south africa group. In every group team ireland or scotland (weak team) are present.Dont worry you are still world champion and no. 1 in test and no. 2 in odi.

And i have seen thousands like you who hide behind a veil and speaks big,let us come out in the open if u have any guts and shame(which i dont think you have). Why hiding behind a name.
If your gk is good dont forget your football team not qualified in world cup and australian team qualified in 2010 world cup(south africa) Firstly Your team india win 3 world cup(20-20) in regular time. Then compare Aussie team and mind it this team is better then your team india in odi and test(2nd and 1st)

payas this group is very tough,West Indies and Sri Lanka are good teams and in previous 20-20 world cup west indies beat india when symonds, heyden are present(2007) and sri lankan team are coming in efficient team and in australia all players are not in form. They made 160 is good total of Aussies team.Wait few months australia come back.

India was Asian champion in 1951 and they qualified for world cups much earlier without boots when even west were not sending their criminal convicts to australia.

Agarwal:
;-).... And so we can all sit back and wear our superior smirks and start criticizing the "convicts" Australians?..... :)
Gr8 thinking.... it is only becoz of people like you that we have reached great heights as a country......
Considering that we already won the T20 world cup last year, I take it that there is absolutely no need for us to make even a decent showing for another 58 years???..... (1951 to 2009 is 58 years, I trust...).... :-)
... Cricket Australia might have wanted to include Mathew Hayden, Gilchrist and Symonds in their present T20 World Cup squad, make Gilly the captain and rest the likes of Ponting, Clarke etc. for the forthcoming Ashes series.
Since that could not happen before the start of their T20 WC campaign, the least that Ponting could have done in yesterday's match against SL (which was a do or die affair), in the light of his experience of playing WI in the opening game, was:
1. To promote David Hussey and Mike Hussey (perhaps even Mitchel Johnson) in the batting order, ahead of himself, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin.
2. Ensure that his batsmen went for big lofted shots in the powerplay overs and constantly looked for singles and twos in the remaining overs instead of focussing only on big hits.
Anyway, it appears that T20 is not the cup of tea for Aussies and may be they will come up with a winning T20 combination after a few more trials and errors with the team selection.
With Aussies eliminated, India are in tough group E with WI, SA & Eng. On the other hand group F has Ireland, SL, NZ with PAK or Netherland joining them. Hope we make it to Semis & finals & go all the way !!
Ponting, Clark and Lee never played this format well I wonder why selectors choosen them for T20 World cup..past records shows Pontings average is very less and strike rate is around 110...In media they were talking more on Ashes then T20 world cup. Ben Laughlin such a great T20 bowler wasn't selected in the team!!! some thing is fishy!! Ben Laughlin is great bowler with all the varations, he bowls fast(140 KMPH), medium (120), slow (100), very slow (80-90), I wonder why he hans't been selected for T20, he has proved in past that batsman cant hit his balls for boundaries

Natan Haritz looked (and he is) ordinary bowler, each team had minimum 2 quality spinners Aussis had non (in previous match), one in this match.........ridiculous
