Mind it The last decision taken by Umpire not any player if umpire is not good or cheater then this is the fault of umpire not player.if you see the matches when player hit the ball supporter say many word 4 or 6 but umpire takes his own decision. If umpiring is bad dont blame any player.

I am not talking about the Umpire's decisions. I am talking about the grounded catches that Ponting & Clarke claimed to have taken fairly.

Srinivas G:

And your point is?....

All wrong appealing Indians should lose every future match?....

All cheating Pakistanis should be thrashed by Lithuanian team?....

What are you trying to say out here?.... there was a captains agreement between Ponting and Kumble prior to the series.... Kumble shouldn't have agreed to players' word being considered final when in doubt.... He did....
Don't tell me that Clarke's catch was the first grounded catch in the history of the game....

The agreement in that case was to take the word of catcher. The agreement between the teams was done considering the catcher would not lie/cheat

Appealing for some lbw or nick is totally irrelevant here.

The point is, they lost their goodwill by claiming a catch when the ball was grounded. That is considered cheating.

So they should lose all their future matches becoz of that?.... Hmmmmm......

I kind of like your logic..... why do you exclude appealing for nicked LBWs, or non-snicks claimed by the keeper?.....

Lots of hate & Anger by Many, But Solutions by None
by LG on Jun 09, 2009 12:54 PM  | Hide replies

Fact 1: Indians have been attacked by some Australian in Australia and got injured or killed.
Fact 2. Australia team lost two matches in row and is out of the tournament.

After the exit of Aus, people have started venting their angers and hate just to feel good by correlating the two facts.

Do they really care about the people suffering in Australia? I do not think so because none has come out with any solution/action to be taken.
If one really cares about someone who got injured, one will first find the solution-apply medicine or taking one to hospital—instead of pondering on why it happened or what could have avoided such thing or venting one’s anger of loved for recklessness.

I am sorry to say that all these people who calling Aus team arrogant or racist are nothing but cowards.

As far as I think, following solutions/actions are viable

Severe economic tie with Australia—hit them hard economically.
Stop playing any sport with Aus.
Do allow any Aus player to play in IPL.

All of you are welcome to add to the list.

#1) Cricket is not in their top 6 sports; still they play this game of cricket so well.

#2) In 2008 olympics, austalia won 46 medals incl 14 gold and was placed 6th in the world. In the previos Athens they won 49 (17 Gold) and was placed 4th in the world.

#3) One in 8 aussies play some sort of professional sport; they are not 'professional commentators' in Rediff.

I Think we Indians are the most racist people in the world. We not only discriminate on colour of the skin but also on cast, creed, religion, region, status etc etc. Our names are like Barcode, the moment we say our name the other person starts judging which religion he is, what backgroud he must be etc. Before even I have spoken a word he will have a prejudice. Very sad ...but true.
As far as cricket is concerned, it is just a game and Aussies lost it. There is no need to disect it any further...!

It wasn't arrogance nor over confidence did them, but it was wrong team selection.
Ponting, Clark and Lee never played this format well I wonder why selectors choosen them for T20 World cup..past records shows Ponting and Clark's average is very less and strike rate is around 110...In media they were talking more on Ashes then T20 world cup.
Ben Laughlin such a great T20 bowler wasn't selected in the team!!! some thing is fishy!! he can bowl with all the varations, he bowls fast(140 KMPH), medium (120), slow (100), very slow (80-90), I wonder why he hans't been selected for T20, he has proved in past that batsman cant hit his balls for boundaries, each team have minimum 2 quality spin bowlers, Ausis had non (in first match) and one (that too not a great spinner I say - Natan Haritz)
