Dethroned
by rohit Rj on Jan 30, 2009 08:26 PM  | Hide replies

Aussies are now dethroned from no.1 spot, earlier no.1 was only for australia, any team defeating aussies in one or two match considered itself good, but now no. 1 spot is wide open. Now its not the race for no.1 but which team is going to retain the no.1 spot. As the oldies say it is easy to reach no.1 but it is as difficult to maintain it. Aussies have retained this spot for 15 years. Competition would be between India, SA and Australia for no.1 spot.

Why Watch Films in recession - Stars make crores from films?
by Sandeep on Jan 30, 2009 08:25 PM  | Hide replies

Shah Rukh Khan's assets worth Rs 1500 crores. Abhishek and Aishwaraya's assets Rs 1200 crores. Akshay Kumar's assets worth Rs 1000 crores. In recession, employees are getting laid off; stars mint crores for their films. A pity that they loot others' pockets to buy Mercedes and bunch of houses.

What is your problem with their net worth? And how did you arrive at those astounding figures? Did Shahrukh and Ash and Abhishek show you their Income Tax return statement??? You just hear something somewhere and think it is true like our Labour minister who went to the extent of giving a statement in Parliament about the number of Indians working in NASA and Microsoft and others when the numbers were purely false!
If you do not want to see them flourish, do not go see their movies. Do not sling mud at them like this. Just shows your ignorance and your petty outlook.

yes friend but when srinath retired everybody said no other bowler can match him but today u see many players who are having great talent not able to get aplace in the side like that when the dravids and sachins retire there will be lot of talent which will be matching up the talents of them

Bowlers like McGra, Warne Batsman like Hayden, all rounder Waugh Bros. were pillers of Aus team. It will take time to find out such players again. Shaun Marsh is ray of hope for batting side.

I doubt if it was ever fab four. It was always numero uno (Sachin) or deadly duo (Sachin and Rahul) but fab four never came 'together' in a single match!

NO ONE CAN MATCH AUSTRALIA AND THE westindies of 70s and 80s
by ram kumar on Jan 30, 2009 08:00 PM  | Hide replies

stop commenting nonsense, lets see hw long these ppl can maintain their no1 ranking.nt even a year or two.whereas westinides of 70s and 80s and australia were able to diminate world cricket for 15 years.try and aprreciate a team which has been domination world cricket for 15 yrs rather than degarding.

You r right in giving credit to Australia for dominating the sport for the last 15 years.

Dont you think now South Africa deserve an appreciation to reach the top when no one has reached the realm for the past 15 years.

Sustaining the same is a different record which Australia will be lauded even now.

When Australia became no.1 everyn said that they can't match WI of 80s. But aus proved it otherwise. Now you r telling that no one can match Aus. How do you know that man? Are you an astrologer?

I am also a lover of indian team, but I think it is marginally towards SA. SA can win over India as 3-2 but in SA, this difference is can be 4-1.

"South Africa topples Australia" What has to be done for next Team to No.1 if SA made topless Aus? I Guess next team has to Monty SA for No.1 position.
