daval is aftwrall only a swing bowler and he is not having any considerable pace unlike sree or agarkar. In fact sree sant has proved his real talent in southafrica. What else he has to do for selection. Even the old horse like agarkar has shown his pace mettle on oz pitches, and in this cast even his talent and experence has not been taken into account by these biased selectors. Very sad politics.
The NZ tour will be an acid test fora number of players who have got themseves selected on the basis of rus scored in the past by playing with other teams at other vennues. All these players were in the team that tour NZ last when Indian team could not cross 200 even once. If some or all of them fail to deliver this time too then it could meurtains for them as a number of good youngsters are waiting in the wings to replace them.

Srikkanth the joker is playing his politics now. All the bull*shit selectors are playing their ugly games and the real talents are not getting chance. Sreesanth is the second fastest seemer in Indian side and he is not getting change to play in NZ. His could have a vital role in NZ series, but Srikanth is bias and selected Balaji and Karthik non performers through out the chances given earlier. Big bull*shit and hell the selectors.

Sreesanth... where is he... he I think was more a talented bowler... than Munaf and this RP or Dhawal...
Only problem with him was that he is a little trouble making every time but time might have changed his attitude..

Its not wrong to admit that North Indians make up 80% of current successful Indian ODI team. Rest is Gujurat. This move is just to try regain Mumbai's monopoly. Surely it will not work.

His specialty is that he is a Mumbaikar. Other than that he is only fit for carrying drinks. I know many of you will get mad at what I have said, but just look at Dhawal's physical fitness level. He is not ready for test matches, especially in New Zealand. Sachin Tendulkar had a lot to do with Dhawal's selection. In any case India does not have many options. R.P. and Sreesanth like Munaf are not 100% fit.

Dude being a Mumbaikar is a curse in the last decade for cricketers. Everybody ganged up to finish off Mumbai's monopoly of Indian cricket after 80's Lots of amazing players like Amol Muzumdar got screwed in the process..

I've followed his progress over the last ranji season and he has a very good nagging line and length where he delivers consistently aka McGrath.Movement both ways in the air and off the track has seen him get rid of most of the top order batsman. The moment the batsman is made to play every single delivery there are more chances of getting rid of the batsman and Dhawal has done this with supreme perfection.Being with the Indian teams Physio will definitely help in increasing his Stamina, power and fitness resulting in adding some extra miles to his pace.Pace bowlers need to be groomed at this age and kudos to the selectors for picking up the right choice.
Good team selected. Most of the player pick themselves. However I didn't like Amit Mishras selection. He's a good bowler no doubt but will mostly be warming benches in NZ. In case they play one spinner it would be Bhajji so why not select an extra seamer or a medium pacer.

If we play only 11 any way.... why spend money in sending 16? 5 people sit on bench anyway....

In that case, there will be OBC quota and allocations for politicians. What will happen, if NDA or Mayawati wins next election? Parliament selected cricket team will change after every elections...??

yeah, i strongly support Dhawal for his inclusion for his 42 wicket haul in Ranaji trophy and support him, but our selectors wanted the relatives, chacha-bhatija of the politicians and big money involved as well. and moreover in India there is quota system, so these jealous people allways oppose the Mumbai lads, without any valid reason. any changu-mangu from the rest of the India will be allright, whether he knows cric or not ....!
