Congrats to selector

Thanks for selecting a nice player being missed from a long time. We have lost hope of his playing in the team but now we have nice chance to see his bowling again. He has been victim of politics to remain out of team.

Great logic of tamilians
by Forrest Gump on Feb 03, 2009 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

If people from karnataka or mumbai have been biased in their selections, it gives us full right to be biased as well. it is like a thief saying if the other thief was let go by the law he should be let go too....great tamilian logic!!!!!

Balaji is a good choice. He desrves to be selected. But what is the bias here? Except Srikkanth no player from Tamil Nadu had long stint in the national team. Balaji is the only player from Tamil Nadu. Your ghost name suggests your thinking ability.

First of all there is no question of bias here. If there were a majority of players from TN in Indian team, then what you say is right. But Balaji is a lone replacement who is coming back in to international cricket after a long absence due to injury.

Don't you guys understand the difference between bias and Balaji's replacement?!? I hope you are all humans with brains, so I guess if you close your eyes and thought for a few seconds you should understand.

the whole of India is biased. marathi is biased towards marathis, bengalis towards bengalis and so are tamilians, oriyas, biharis, ashamis and so on. this is a country that's a fine example of diversity in unity. so can't really blame anybody.

He should placed in first XI in fourth match against Sri Lanka. He is good hard hitter during the slog overs.

Balaji only member from TN
by martybarty on Feb 03, 2009 12:09 PM

For all those who say that Srikkanth has done a biased selection, Balaji is the only member from Tamil Nadu in the team though lots of others like badri, abinav mukund habe done well.

He has taken 43 wickets this season in 9 matches with lower average than other bowlers and also done will so far in duleep trophy.

Other bowlers like ravindra jadeja, a. mishra
who have done better than him are already in the team.

For all those players saying Srikkanth is biased, Balaji is the only player from TN for this Newzealand tour though many other like badri, abinav mukund have done really well.

Balaji also took 43 wickets in 9 matches this season and also did well in IPL, Duleep trophy.

Ricky Ponting is a BECHARA for me.
by Tapesh on Feb 03, 2009 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

Ricky Ponting is a BECHARA for me. He has been a great player, batsman and above all one of the most successful captains ever in the history of World Cricket. But some time he lost his patience and honesty that’s why he paid for it. But I like him for his leadership and his audacity.
